I have tried to open Chase account, but they declined me. No reasons given, but I'm thinking of two reasons:-
- I used to have a Chase account which I closed July 2023
- When completing the current Chase account application, I accidently chose that I would be using the account for Investments

Chase do not accept customers back who have previously closed their current account.worriednoob said:I have tried to open Chase account, but they declined me. No reasons given, but I'm thinking of two reasons:-- I used to have a Chase account which I closed July 2023

Why would you have closed a Chase account? Apart from a short term “switch bonus” benefit?0

One of the rules of this game is - don't close accounts unless it is absolutely necessary. And if you have to close it make sure you still have an account with that institution. I used to close accounts when they turned uncompetitive and missed on some very good products as a result.worriednoob said:I have tried to open Chase account, but they declined me. If you have money in the old 5.1% account and you close it and open a new one with the bonus until Jan where does that money go ? Can you open the new one first and transfer the funds over and then close the old one ?ashteadgirl said:Just closed my old 5.1% account and opened new one with bonus until Jan. You can select where to transfer it to, either to another Chase saver (I’ve still got the original issue 1 4.1% saver) or your current account. It will also add the accrued interest. Then once the Nov 5.1% is closed, a new pop up box will appear showing the Jan 5.1% saver. Then just transfer that amount into it. It takes no more than 1 minute to do it all.2

Transfer the funds in to the current account, close your 5.1% then open the Jan 5.1% and transfer the funds from the current accounttiger70 said:

I need some help please! When I click on the three little dots I do not see an option to close the account. Reading the posts above, everyone seems to have done it easily.
