Thanks @maman. Can't believe the chips they're higher in syns than the normal frozen ones. I've tried different varieties of potatoes, soaking them to get rid of starch, cooking them without soaking, different sizes etc etc and still can't get them crispy! Half the time some are cooked and some aren't even though I shake the drawer during the cooking as it says so thought I'd try chips which say they are for air fryers just to see if it makes any difference! Quite honestly I used to get crispier chips cooking them in the oven!

Morning all, apparently today is the last day of rain before a week of lovely warm, dry days! I'll believe it when I see it!!! It was absolutely hissing down a little while ago although much lighter now. Need to pop out to buy some salted crisps for DH! He had a blood test done at his pre op and got a phone call yesterday to say his Sodium levels are too low so he needs to increase them before having another blood test next week and advised to eat a bag of crisps a day! It's not that long since he stopped eating them regularly! While we're out I'll pick up some stuff which I'd normally pick up next week for the pantry - things like beans and tomatoes as I like to top them up at the beginning of each month so I don't need to pick them up when I do the weekly shop.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast
L - leek and bacon risotto (will make enough to freeze half hopefully!)
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, beans
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - chips 7 (150g frozen air fryer chips!) - hope they're worth the syns! May have a G&T or 2 as well.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Been awol this week, so much family comings and goings and a few stressful issues to deal with. Food has been good when I can every day but some days, two in particular, I was in sod it mode! Will see what the scales say tomorrow and start afresh.
Was out for lunch earlier and stuffed so don’t think I’ll be wanting anything for dinner but have plenty fruit, cold meat and salad if I do.

Another who has been a bit intermittent with posts this week - soz. Food has been okay during the day but some home time snacking has taken place including crisps. I haven't lost anything according to my home scales and have had TOTM from hell too. Managed to run home from work tonight though which very much improved my headspace.
Almost don't want to go to group tomorrow - need to give my head a wobble.
Waiting for DH to come home (he's at a friends atm) so I can cook ginger and soy salmon with veg mmmmCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -

I think i have been good this week 🤔😂
Denise, we have had no rain here but bloody hell windy! but the bonus is it dried the washing, turned cold now though the heating is on.
Mum said today her DD has been reduced, i think it's too low, i said are you sure the numbers are correct? Mum being mum said yes i read them every month and write them in my book 😁 well she is always flicking the heating on and it's gone down from £199 to £54! but they are saying she is £750 odd in credit. She said she is going to ring them and ask them to do £100 a month because she don't want a big bill come next winter.
Was a big fire in town today we could see the smoke as we came off the dual this morning, caused chaos with all the rds shut, no one hurt and that's the main thing.
Food today
dippy eggs with bacon wrapped asparagus
Soft pitta, hexb and olio stuffed with leaves olio, cucumber and other half of tikka, water melon

I just wish I had a doctor that prescribed ready salted crisps @joedenise! 🤣 That's dreamworld for me.
Seriously though, hope it does the trick for Joe and that everything goes smoothly. 🤞
Good luck for tomorrow @Jellybaby and @bubbs and for you if you decide to WI in the morning @Coxy11.
It's chilly here too and windy. This morning we had a load of bricks and blocks delivered at 7.45am. They're ready for the bricklayers on Monday so 🤞 the promised good weather arrives.
Did my meal plan and shopping today. I did buy some crisps but won't be eating them yet. They're earmarked for the plane when we go away. 😉
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F), pickles (S)
D- sausage, potato cubes (F), roast veg and green stuff (S)
Syns - weekend wine 😁

Hi all, think I have caught up at last, but head very woolly, not retaining much - Hay fever and Sinusitis!
Weighed in on Tuesday, first time for 7 weeks, half pound down on last time (even after 3 week's holiday) just 1lb over target so nicely in range. Another one wanting to nibble bits and bobs during the evening, but weighed the same on my own scales 3 times running.
Off to mid-Wales for a few days on Sunday, nice and close, just 90 minutes away, but a nice change of scenery on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning all, the weather is definitely looking better this morning with some sunshine and blue skies but looking a bit windy at the moment. No plans to go out today so if the wind drops it might be nice to get out into the garden this afternoon.
Good luck to anyone weighing in this morning. Hope you all have good losses.
Well done @maddiemay on keeping within target range even after a 3 week holiday. That's amazing! I'm still trying to shift the weight I put on from the 2 AI holidays I've had this year! It just doesn't want to shift at the moment even though I'm sticking to plan most of the time. Just have to keep plodding as @beanielou tells us! Enjoy your few days in Wales.
@maman - the problem with the crisps is that DH won't just have a packet a day he'll just keep eating them until they're gone! They might last 3 or 4 days but doubt they'll the last the week! He's also bought cheesy cheddars - they actually have a bit more salt in them than the crisps.
Today's plan:
B - fry up
L - stuffed pepper (stuffed with LO chilli)
D - chicken curry, rice
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned
Syns - sausages 2; will probably have some zero G&Ts but they are only 0.5 syns for a double so won't be more than 1 syn!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
