You’ll have that gain off in no time @NornIronRose. Enjoy the crunchie @maman - and the football.
Sounds like a lovely afternoon @Coxy11 hope you catch your bus!
Happy bunny this week, three off for me this morning. What a difference a week makes! Parents treated me to a bar lunch after shopping and I had the most enormous baked potato with tuna and salad. Absolutely stuffed. Meatballs for later but think dinner will be a late one! And drum roll….no alcohol planned 😇🤣1 -
That's a fantastic loss @Jellybaby. So pleased for you. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Just goes to show what you can do when you settle back into a routine. 👍🏼
Weather forecast was rain all day today but ended up being bright and sunny. I think the Met Office is taking the proverbial, they get it wrong so often. 🤔 Put washing out after lunch and 🤞🏼 it will dry.
Went out to fill the car up and buy a few bits I needed. Prices are getting ridiculous. I really don't know how some people manage.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, kippers (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- Spanish omelette (P,S,F), pickles (S)
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many Speed vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, kippers 1.5, weekend wine😊0 -
Evening all 😁
Jelly i have told you before we are sw twins 🤣 well done.
Maman i keep meaning to ask how the building works are going?
We had horrendous rain through the night and this morning, consequently flood alerts have been issued next door again!

Today i have had soft pitta hexb and half hexa with cheese spread, ham and beetroot, tomato and a few crisps.
Roast pork dinner, 2 yorkies 2 syns they were massive!! not had yorkies for a few weeks, the rtc pork was nice and a big lump left. Gravy 4 syns

Yes @bubbs, it seems not much in the Company Shop for you either. The shelves were all filled out with Heinz soup at silly prices. Even if forgetting about SW there wasn't even anything good value for the food bank. ☹️
The building work is delayed because the builder has been held up on previous job by the endless rain. Due to start Tuesday week after the Bank Holiday. Won't affect us too much to begin with but washing machine will have to come into the kitchen so dishwasher will have to go to make room.
I thought about making Yorkshires today with our beef but just had a syn or two with horseradish.0 -
Morning all, a bit of a damp day here. Was thinking of cleaning the windows but not much point so will just go back to my book 😉
Exciting times once the building work starts @maman although I’m sure you’re more looking forward to the finishing touches 😁
Today’s food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt with fruit
L - tomato and red pepper soup, toasted soft pitta for dipping HEXB
D - fish and chips, salad 4 for breadcrumbs and 2 or 3 for tartare sauce will need to check
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone. These Mondays come around quick!
I’ve got a tomato, basil and ricotta pasta sauce blipping away on the hob for tea. Will be having it with salad and some olives (syns)
had my usual yog and banana for brekky and for lunch had a bagel thin (HEb) with sliced tomato and a good grind of salt/pepper. I wrapped it tightly in film and foil and it melded into THE most delicious sandwich for lunch along with some 4syn crisps and satsumas.
Hope you’ve all had a decent Monday xx0 -
Sounds delicious @Matron_Midge. 😋 That's definitely a bonus of SW that we get to enjoy super meals without feeling deprived or going hungry. 👍🏻
Hope you enjoyed your book @Jellybaby. That's another perk of being retired, you get to choose. 😁
The building work will take months but I keep telling myself we'll be pleased when it's all done. Then we can do some decorating in the rest of the house as we've put things off knowing that the building work will create dust.
I refreshed my freezer inventory today as it had got a bit messed up. I hate not being certain of what's in there.
Today's plan -
B- and I porridge, HEA milk for drinks, berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash, peas (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
Syns - 00 -
Great loss @Jellybaby xx
Loving the look of those Yorkshires @bubbs x
That sounds like a fab sandwich @Matron_Midge mmmmm
I had a productive day yesterday. Made a sweet potato and chick pea curry in the SC. Just bunged in a load of store cupboard spices and it made 4 portions for the freezer. Also have one portion of chicken and spinach curry from Friday, frozen for work lunches.
I also cooked double brown rice and made up two poke bowls with smoked salmon, edamame beans (got these frozen from Ocado), pickled red cabbage, chilli gherkins, plus a crumbling of low fat feta. Took one box today and have the other for tomorrow. Absolutely delicious. Took two of the savoury muffins too.I had leftover gammon, egg, and sw chips last night. Did buy some individual pukka steak pies but at 27 syns each I swerved it. Kids enjoyed them though!DH got back this afternoon, had to tie the tents to the vehicles as the weather in Pembrokeshire was so dire!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0
