Didn't really enjoy the stroganoff - the mushrooms were too chewy so ended up dumping it and the lot I'd just started cooking.  Will give the sauce a go tomorrow and hope that's OK!

    @TakeItEazy - 10g of butter are 3.5 syns so 7 syns for 20g.

Morning all, heading home shortly and typically it’s lovely sunshine! Quite cold though already so dread to think what weather we’ll have in the coming months.

Belated anniversary wishes @maman I’m sure you had a lovely day out.

Well done to all the losers and maintainers. I’m quite certain it will be a gain for me on Saturday but I’ve enjoyed it and properly back on track today.

Breakfast is toast with bacon medallions and tomatoes ,  lunch might be out so will steer towards baked potato or gammon steak and veg and dinner is likely to be chilli from the freezer.

    Have a good day all!

Morning all, very sunny here again.  Supposed to be a bit cooler today but certainly doesn't feel it at the moment!  Another load of washing in the machine which I'll hang out shortly.  Where does all the bloody washing come from?  Still at least while the weather is like this it is easy to get dry.

Glad you had a good break @Jellybaby.  It's always a shame when we have to come back home.  Well done on getting straight back on plan though.

Hope you enjoyed your anniversary meal out @maman and had a good day.

    Today's plan:

B - fruit and yoghurt (DH is going to have cereal - fruit and yoghurt is an evening snack to him!)
L - corned beef and salad sandwich (will be using home grown tomatoes)
    D - butter chicken, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 50g lean corned beef 1.5; 10g LF spread 2; 0.5 Tbs butter 3

    Have a good day everyone.

I'm glad you found the culprit for the extra syns @TakeItEazy. Why not try something else for breakfast instead of granola?🤔 While you're off school you'd have a bit more time to make something else you'll enjoy.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. We had a lovely day on the Isle of Wight yesterday. Breakfast at home was a SW fry up and my lunch was a delicious crab and prawn salad with the only syns in the dressing. However, it's become something of a tradition for us to have fish and chips at the seaside on our anniversary. It started when we went to Weymouth a few years back and DH joked he'd taken me out for dinner and a show. The show was Punch and Judy and the dinner was fish and chips on the quayside! 🤣 So, true to form I had fish, chips and mushy peas for dinner and enjoyed every mouthful. I think the last time I had a fish supper was in March so I was due one. 😁 Celebratory wine syns were also consumed. 😉

Back on plan today and tomorrow but were out for a proper celebration meal on Friday night at our favourite Italian. It's definitely a case of 'good when I can' at the moment.

    Today's plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Wow!  Plenty of bargains there @bubbs!  Quite honestly I wouldn't have picked up most of the mushrooms I got at 10p a box!

The tomato and mushroom sauce made 3 lots for the freezer.  Had a taste and think it'll be ok to add to mince for spag bol or lasagne or just to stir through pasta.
