Morning all, itโs very dark and raining here! ย We had thunder but no lightning a couple of hours ago and since then heavy rain.ยItโs my turn to cook dinner and I woke up this morning dreaming about chicken skewers - must be one of your pics @bubbs! - so thatโs what weโre having with salad and SW chips. I can control today ๐คฃ
I feel quite focussed and motivated fingers crossed it lasts ๐
@beanielou meant to ask, do you have the discount railcard? Iโve been looking at it but donโt know if I would use it enough to make it worthwhile.ยHope you all have a smashing day.0 -
@Jellybaby. No. I donโt have the railcard. Think I will get one though. Next month.ยSo much for a wee loss. Itโs going to be a wee gain & I will have to pay. Morning all, was up early this morning - 5.30am! ย Desperately needed the loo but looked at my watch and though it said 6.30 so just got up! ย Have done 2 machine loads of washing including another load of bedding - it's a pain having 2 lots of bedding to do each week at the moment! ย It's all out on the line drying nicely even though there isn't a breath of breeze at all.
I've also popped into town to get a few bits as we're going the opposite direction tomorrow to go to Lidl and The Food Warehouse.
I think we all probably have "senior moments" from time to time @TakingItEasy. ย I'm sure it tasted OK though.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash
L - green lentil salad
D - cold pork, chips, beans
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - salad cheese
HEB - none planned
Syns - oil 2; honey 1; mustard 0.5
Have a good day everyone.

Hi all,
Melting here in the office โ we have a fan but it just kicks hot air around which isnโt great. Group on Saturday went off quite uneventfully thank goodness. I got to the hall at 6.55am and my three colleagues had all chairs and tables out plus the laptop/ipad were all rocking and rolling. We had 32 through the door early, and I left the relief social team to run Pay number 2. No newbies afaik. Panic over.
Food has been errrr interesting. Had lunch out with Mum at ASK Italian and had the chicken verdure bowl with roasted veg, leaves and pearl barley, followed by an ice cream cone. Didnโt eat in the evening. Sunday was eggs for breakfast on a thin bagel, then a BBQ mid-afternoon, then a piece of cheesecake. I ran home Friday and ran again yesterday early morning, and not an ounce of weight off!
I am at group on Saturday then will miss the next 4 as Iโm back hiking (Gloucester to Tiverton) then off to Crete. Beginning to think Iโll not bother going back to group โ I know what I need to do, not sure the group is helping me and definitely donโt want to have to rejoin for the nth time.
Loving all the photos @bubbs โ your pork pies are definitely more aesthetically pleasing than mine (still eeking it out).
Not sure I would fancy a roast in this hot weather which is why I bought mainly BBQ stuff for this week. Will just need to top up the salad supplies.

Perfect start to the week to be in control of the cooking @Jellybaby. Enjoy your skewers. ๐
It's another glorious day here, even a slight breeze. Ideal for the washing @joedenise but I don't really have enough to bother with. ๐
You know the plan inside out now @Coxy11 so could easily go it alone. Obviously you'll have a gain after your walk and holiday so just make a plan to get back to SW when you get back home.ย
Shame if you have to pay @beanielou (Don't you have a grace week? ๐ค) but hopefully you'll soon get back in range. ๐ค
I'm going dancing again tonight. Fortunately we can leave all the windows and doors open so shouldn't be too hot.ย
On plan today but tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and we're going out for the day. We're thinking of going to the IoW again but down to the Yarmouth end. Food will be whatever we fancy. Also planning to eat out on Thursday so not going to be a good week overall.ย
Today's plan -ย
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs and ham (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinksย
L- cold meat (P), hash and pickles (F, S)ย
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), green stuff, mushrooms (S)ย
Syns - 00 -

Nice box @bubbs. ย DH has ordered a couple of TGTG bags from Aldi - unfortunately one from the local one and the other is from the next town in the opposite direction! ย He thought it was from the local one as well so we're going to have to go out shortly as that will take us about half hour to get to and we need to collect around 9pm; the local one needs collecting 9.25pm!
Hope they're decent bags with going out at this time of night!
