Hi all, AWOL due to family visiting and RL getting in the way!

Needless to say food has taken a back seat.  Main meals have been OK it’s the copious amounts of coffee and toast or cereal for breakfast then sandwich or pitta at lunch so having several b choices without thinking about it.  Didn’t make class this morning as currently on the train to Inverness for a few days. Writing this on my phone and hoping it works 🤣 will try and catch up with all your news but hope you are all well. Have a lovely weekend!

Great to see you enjoying your retirement @Jellybaby. Just try to keep as close to plan as you can and then get back 100% when things settle down.

STS again is infuriating @TakeItEazy. I'd suggest you try a food diary and be sure to account for every syn.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries, raspberries (S), banana (F)
L- ham and cottage cheese salad (P, S)
    D- keema curry with rice (P, F, S)
    Syns - weekend wine 😋

Afternoon all, another bright but windy day!  Unfortunately not enough dark or light washing to do today but the forecast is good for another couple of days so should have enough after the weekend.

Glad it was just RL getting in the way for why you hadn't been posting @Jellybaby.  Enjoy Scotland.

A STS is better than a gain @TakeItEazy but still annoying though.  Agree with @maman that a food diary could help - it certainly seems to help me.  As you probably read earlier I put on a couple of lbs while we were away last weekend and only started doing a food diary on Monday and managed to shift 1.5lb of that so I'm going to do one again this week and can hopefully can shift a bit more.  Really hoping to get back into target range before our holiday in about 3 weeks time.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - toasted cheese sandwich, HM chutney
D - beef stew, potatoes, green veg (not very well planned considering the weather!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - HM chutney 0.5; LF sausages 2; 0% gin 1; may have a couple of real G&Ts later!

Hope everything went OK this morning at group @Coxy11 and no melt downs with the very emotional lady!

    Have a good day everyone.

@Jellybaby. Enjoy Inverness. Can I please-ask if you used the facilities on board the train. Also if it was a high step to get on the train. Thank you.

@beanielou there were two narrow (to me) steps to get on the train. I found getting on easier as I’m not good in general with heights so getting off I thought my feet were too big to fit each step if that makes sense! There are hand rails though and I always take my time. I didn’t use the facilities but my brother did and his only comment was they were ‘surprisingly clean’ 🤣

I would’ve gone by bus if it had just been me. I could have used my over 60s free bus pass and paid just £1.50 to book the seat but there are 8 others and they didn’t want to sit on a bus for five hours 🙄

Spag bol for dinner with a slice of garlic bread. Refused wine with dinner but have had two gin and tonics so far.
