Glad you asked about HT @KajiKita!
Got off to a good start here - protein smoothie with oat milk and strawberries from the freezer, soup with tiger baton for lunch and prawn risotto loaded with veg and using some of the brown rice mountain I discovered when refilling cupboards.
Going to prep overnight oats for tomorrow and have soup ready for lunch.4 -
Had a pretty good day.Cut the sprinkling of desiccated coconut from my morning porridge - missed it slightly but not unbearably and the small portion of cashew nuts I normally have in the afternoons.Didn’t go for a walk at lunchtime today - way too tired after waking at 4am 🙄 and so much gardening over the last few days, but did channel PiP 😊 by walking around the kitchen when making tea and going up and down stairs to meet people more today. Have got to 7K steps today - not bad for a weekday.Afternoon snack on getting home - limited myself to three small sourdough crackers with a little cream cheese. Tea was a bit UPFy with pre-made lasagne but it wasn’t too bad served with lots of green beans.Currently resisting chocolate with my post dinner cuppa …

Good evening 👋
Yes HT is my House Troll. He was a House Elf from when he was very small until he was about eleven and then the pre-teens hit and he became the House Troll. He's not that bad now to be honest but it's kind of stuck.
My Easter chocolate hit my scales with a resounding thump this morning, ugh. Still it's over and done with now. Onwards and downwards hopefully.
@beanielou well done on your surprise loss 😁
@redofromstart I like the sound of the chickpeas, I'm going to try that.
@WinterWarrior I can't be trusted with butter - I buy or make things for it to go on. I don't like the spreadable version but the HT and BF have no tastebuds so I use it for their sandwiches.3 -
Doesn’t good butter go on anything @CRANKY40? 😋 fresh white bread or warm mashed potatoes have to be the stars, but anything really… in the spirit of changing to proper butter I have purchased an airtight butter dish and a butter knife…who knew there was such a thing? It has a serrated edge and a tiny row of holes on the other side that kind of grates the hard butter so you can spread it (without cutting big chunks (the best kind) or ripping your fresh bread. I have been educated! Also quite baffled that even a saving money on food thread got my spending….I’ll go stand in the corner now and have a think about my actions! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Okay day today. Very tired so struggling with motivation but did manage to get out for a walk at lunchtime and whilst I needed chocolate I managed to restrain myself to one square …

Out for a walk today, 10km of mud mostly but some nice views.Ice cream in the NT carpark. Not sure what horrified me the most - the price or the calories!
banananana for breakfast. Mints. Ice cream. Prosecco when I got back. Slice of tiger bread (bad gluten!). Blueberries.Kale is still reproachful. Tomorrow it needs to be eaten or do the walk of shame up to the compost bins.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
