I tend to gravitate to dark colours, but I’m a bit of a clumsy person, so any light colour is usually adorned with some type of mystery stain very quickly 🤭 I keep looking at those colour tutorials where you work out if you are summer, spring, winter, etc. I absolutely cannot work out what I should be. I tend to go for what suits the model or something I saw someone wearing (that looked good on them) instead of what suits me, so have a wide range of random items…and still end up in dark t shirts and jumpers most days 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thank you. I've seen some lovely clothing in Morrisons, but mine doesn't seem to stock larger sizes, It's worth me keeping an eye out though when we are out and about. I'll have a look for that book, thank youredofromstart said:Morrisons do some nice longer length tunic and curved hem tops @jwil for £6/£8, my standard non working wardrobe atm. 'Trapeze' vests as well, but they tend to be patterned. Do you know, that's never even occurred to me to look at men's t-shirts - thank you! I will have a look.weenancyinAmerica said:@jwil - I buy t-shirts in the men's department, as here in the US, they are longer. That's why I like patterns, they cover up a multitude of sinsWinterWarrior said:I tend to gravitate to dark colours, but I’m a bit of a clumsy person, so any light colour is usually adorned with some type of mystery stain very quickly 🤭 I keep looking at those colour tutorials where you work out if you are summer, spring, winter, etc. I absolutely cannot work out what I should be. There's no way I can wear white, but I was contemplating buying some of the t-shirts I do like in white and dyeing them.
If you take a picture of yourself wearing different colours you might be able to see which suit and which don't. I tend to suit bluer tones I think. I had a picture of me wearing a red top, and although I loved it, the colour didn't work well against my skin, so I wore it with black underneath it afterwards."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I had my colours read once and apparently I suit various shades of coral colours, so a bit more acidic than the pastels I would normally prefer to wear.TBH, I simply hate clothes shopping and clothes. Can’t we just have all over fur instead?! 😉😂🤷♀️

I do too. I'm tempted to be that person that just has a couple of each item and wears the same outfit every day. It would be so much easier!KajiKita said:TBH, I simply hate clothes shopping and clothes. Can’t we just have all over fur instead?! 😉😂🤷♀️

Yup, this is me. Especially for work. I find a top in a shape that works and buy every colour / pattern I can wear.beanielou said:I tend to wear a lot of the same things but maybe in different colours.KKAs at 15.10.25:

I do wear the same few things over and over as I don't have a lot of clothes. The problem comes when something needs replacing and then I can't find anything!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi everyone
I weighed early on Friday (usually Saturday) but then we went away for the weekend (precisely why I weighed early). 4 lbs lost last week after a sts so very pleased.
Planning for, and expecting, a stay the same this week and the following week (or even a small gain but hopefully no more) as it's my birthday next week and I am off with lots planned, and away with work this week from tomorrow until Friday afternoon. I often find hotel choices a bit limiting as I am veggie and it's often things like mac and cheese etc. So usually I cobble something together from starters but I'll see how I get on.
On the debate about clothes I'm someone else that tends to stick to what I know works. I do find it strange that certain plus size shops seem to think that everyone wants to wear a smock type top with everything or add loads of frills that look very strange (totally agree with you @jwil ). I think that can look nice but I would like some good workwear and also some plainer separates that could be mixed and matched. I was a big fan of Long Tall Sally (being 5 11). They were taken over/sold and still exist as part of Very but the quality is nowhere near what it was and the sizing is exceptionally strange. I have long legs but their trousers are now about 5 inches too long for me and the arms the same. Never used to be the case. However, I do have a whole range of clothes that will fit me as I carry on with this journey so that's something to look forward to.
@KajiKita on the topic of colours - I had mine done years and years ago when I lived and worked in London. I was a winter on the spectrum and actually, I think that was pretty correct. So I suit white, black, clear pinks (fuschia but not pastel), denim colours and so on. I have found it quite helpful and definitely think those colours suit me better. Having said that, I do wear other colours so it is not something I think about too much now, but it still does steer me away from some things!
Well done on all the losses and also for the consistency and persistence people are showing. Hardly anyone loses every week and the ability to stay the same is also very good (speaking as someone who can go up and down like a yo yo). I definitely think that showing up every week is the major attribute required on any weight loss (or financial) journey.
Hope you all have a good week.
