    Well done Cranky!

we have been for a lovely walk as usual, the bluebells really starting to push through now.

Not great food wise and only banana and peas from a F&V perspective. Self sabotage by me.

Do you know what led to the ‘self sabotage’ (in inverted commas because it sounds a bit self judgy)?

I’m having a challenging couple of days - no walking in the day yesterday due to lunchtime meeting but running around the building internally from issue to issue did get me to 7K steps. Yesterday was such a full day I didn’t have time to get my lunch together for today and I have no time to go to the canteen so have a collection of ’picky bits for lunch’ ….
I am managing to persist on the mostly not snacking or eating any junk between meals and still sticking to one square of chocolate per day.

  • @CRANKY40. That made me laugh about the enchiladas.  Mr L isn’t a professional chef but when he took (very) early retirement part of the deal was that he transformed himself into a domestic god 🤣.  My job has travelling attached to it and his contribution is to keep the home fires burning, so to speak.  He has embraced this very well and I definitely appreciate it. He will also eat the same as me and when we plan it works well.
I’m not totally convinced our Labrador hasn’t worked out how to open the fridge.  He ignores many kitchen sounds as beneath his notice but he can hear cheese being opened from about 5 miles away 🤣.  I may have that in common with him!!!!
I agree with your comment about being kind to ourselves.  I have a lot to lose but all I can do is keep moving forward and aim to make progress.

Labradors have special cheese ears I think @Less_Talk_and_More_Action. My old girl can’t possibly get up when you want her to move, but arrives like magic at a sniff of cheese.
@CRANKY40 I would also miss the enchiladas. The most I can hope for is a slice of toast and a coffee 😅

  • Our lab would like to know the secret to fridge opening @CRANKY40.  I need to know the secret of fridge closing 🤣🤣

I’m quietly sustaining reasonable if not excellent eating habits. Struggling to get much more steps in as have soooo many meetings atm (it’s gone nuts in work). Crossing my fingers for a loss on Saturday morning (when I typically weigh) as I am ‘feeling’ a bit smaller …. 😊

I am planning a treat on Sunday - HM rhubarb crumble with ground almonds in the crumble and ice cream 😊 I think a treat once a week is allowed 😊

Apologies, AWOL but reasonably on plan. The self sabotage was the simple act of making  PNB cookies - I dont buy them and I am mostly the only one who eats them.

That crumble sounds spot on Kajikita, love ground almonds.

I was definitely less bloated if not down on the scales.

Wednesday and Friday walks done inbetween being busy.  It would have been so easy to make excuses but I like walking more than I like eating salad. I hope everyone else is doing well?
