Oh dear. I think I forgot to pay the 1500 in. Had an email reminding me of the conditions, so decided I might as well check my transactions and I only paid in about £200.
I requested my switch a few days after the offer opened so I know there is still time. But I don’t have the full amount. Can it be made by moving money in and out or some other way?
Phew! Found this:- Pay at least £1,500 into your Santander account. This can be either by one or more deposits.

Check your accounts, people! £185 paid into my account today.  :)
Congrats!  Nothing for me yet.  What date did you start/complete the switch?

@MABLE - It's not Quidco, it's Topcashback that you need to check.  Mine's now showing as payable:-

There were/still are offers for opening Santander current accounts on both Quidco and Topcashback. Having said that the topcashback one paid more IIRC.
Ahh right, sorry I didn't know that.  Well that's certainly good news for MABLE.

I don't understand why we still haven't been paid as yet by Santander, even though Topcashbask has paid us.  Here's my situation,:-
    1. Opened two Sole Santander accounts (one for me and one for partner) on 03/04/24
    2. Switch took place on 11/04/24
    3. Setup 2 x DDs for both accounts using Plum & Moneybox - both are actively paying into accounts
    4. Made multiple deposits totalling over £1500 and this was done by 02/05/24.
So based on my actions above, Have I done anything wrong?

The terms of the Santander offer state:

If you instructed them to do the switch on 3/4/24 by my calculations they have till 2nd July 2024 (3rd April + 90 days) to pay you the money.

The terms state that your account is assessed 60 days after requesting Santander to start your switch, in your case 2nd June (maybe 3rd as 2nd is a Sunday). Then you receive your bonus up to 30 days after that (2nd or 3rd July).

The problem is that today Santander have thrown the terms out the window and started assessing accounts and paying some bonuses too early, so it's now uncertain what's happening.

Topcashback and Santander offers are not connected to each other. One can be paid without the other. I got the TC payment today as well, though I don't qualify for the switching offer.

Not sure it’s a problem. This is quite comforting:
I got an email that said

    “You’re nearly there…
Remember, to qualify for the offer, within 60 days of telling us to switch your account, you’ll need to:
have successfully completed the full switch, using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS), which includes closing the account not held with us
set up at least 2 Direct Debits. These can't include Direct Debits set up to fund a savings account you have with Santander, cahoot or Cater Allen
    pay in £1,500.
Your switch amount will be paid directly into your account around 90 days after your account has been opened and eligibility criteria has been met (providing the account is still open).
Take a look at the terms and conditions
This prompted me to check and I realised I didn’t make the payment in.
Maybe they checked early, in theory I have until 19th.

"You're nearly there..." ... that was helpful.

It would have been super helpful if we were informed You're there...

I opened an Everyday Current Account on 18/03/24 (from online banking) initiated the switch, which completed on 26/03/24.

I was about to say '... and I haven't received the incentive' but I've just logged in and it's there! (it wasn't a couple of hours ago).

    Just to help ...
    - my surname begins with F
    - I 'switched' two utility DDs after the account switch had completed at the end of March, one has paid out twice and the other once
    - I 'paid' in £1,500 from an external account by means of 3 x £500 in/out within 10 minutes at the end of March

I am now 'prohibited' from receiving another incentive under the May 14th switch offer ... maybe they read my comment on that thread ... haha.

Unless the requirement state it must be £1500 in one go or that the money must remain in there for a day (like the recent NatWest one) then you can do it in bulk payments in and out

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
