In reality, the only thing that changed on my end is the name of the account. The actual transactions and the initial balance from the original switch are still there with their original dates.
I'n hoping that if it is reviewed by a person they'll see that both account types are eligible and an eligible account has remained open throughout - but I don't actually expect it to play out that way.
I'm happy with the 7% saving account, but the switching bonus would be a nice little addition.
I'm really not sure what will happen here. You could contact Santander to explain and see what they say. Your assessment date according to the offer terms is 20th May, though they seem to be assessing accounts a few days earlier so possibly even tomorrow. Although it can take another 30 days to get the bonus, they seem to be paying them very quickly after assessment. So you should know very soon even if you don't contact Santander.
Worst case scenario is they say you're ineligible (which I think would be very harsh), but you could then apply for the current switch offer and be eligible for that instead.

I’ll leave it a week or two and if nothing has come through I’ll have a chat with them and see what they reckon.Fair point about being eligible for the current switching offer if this doesn’t one come through, however I’m trying to hold off on any switches for now to let the credit file heal before a potential mortgage application towards the end of the year.
Appreciate your thoughts this evening!0 -

Based on above info, I'd say I should expect a payment on the 1st June as my switch started on 03/040 -
My switch happened on the 04.04.24 and my bonus was paid today. I’m so happy with that!!1

Has anyone who got the bonus 2 years ago got it again ? 🤞0

My reward has come through today (switched on 02/04/24). Changing account types hasn’t affected it!4

What's the best way to stop having to pay the fee while retaining the edge saver? Can you just drop it to a free account and back up or?

However, if you want the switch bonus you need to pay in £1,500 and create 2 direct debits, so that will trigger the £3 monthly fee and once it starts you can't stop it being charged monthly other than by closing the Edge current account (and you'd lose the Edge saver account).

The T&C's state:
"We’ll start charging this fee after you meet the conditions for earning cashback for the first time."0 -
