Unless the requirement state it must be £1500 in one go or that the money must remain in there for a day (like the recent NatWest one) then you can do it in bulk payments in and out
I've done most of these bank switching offers and have never left the funds in there.  I've just transferred in and immediately transferred out.  I've always had the bonuses.  I was never aware of this requirement.

The recent NatWest/RBS/Ulster one is the first I have seen (though not necessarily first overall) that had a specific requirement for funds to be in place for 24 hours, bouncing in and out would disqualify you from the offer - it's possible they didn't check of course but they could have refused payment if you had not left them in

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The problem is that today Santander have thrown the terms out the window and started assessing accounts and paying some bonuses too early, so it's now uncertain what's happening.
Not sure it’s a problem. This is quite comforting:
I got an email that said

    “You’re nearly there…
Remember, to qualify for the offer, within 60 days of telling us to switch your account, you’ll need to:
have successfully completed the full switch, using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS), which includes closing the account not held with us
set up at least 2 Direct Debits. These can't include Direct Debits set up to fund a savings account you have with Santander, cahoot or Cater Allen
    pay in £1,500.
Your switch amount will be paid directly into your account around 90 days after your account has been opened and eligibility criteria has been met (providing the account is still open).
Take a look at the terms and conditions
This prompted me to check and I realised I didn’t make the payment in.
Maybe they checked early, in theory I have until 19th.
I more meant it was a problem for those of us who are using the terms to try to advise and guide people through the process. Also those who haven't quite fulfilled all of the criteria and are relying on the 60 days in the terms to do this.

I haven't received this email as I don't qualify for the bonus, I just applied for an Everyday Account to get the TC cashback. Like 3 of my 5 Santander accounts (4 from next Monday) it isn't being used.

What was your switch start date? Trying to see if there's any sort of pattern to what they're doing.

£185 received today for both my wife's and my Everyday a/cs. Opened 19th March with switch completion date of 27th March.
The £1,500 of Amazon vouchers we got 5 years ago hasn't stopped us getting the incentives this time (along with the cashback from TopCashBack).

Also got my bonus today. Opened the account and requested the Switch on the 20th of March (which if I'm not mistaken is 57 days ago, not 60, interesting).
