Because even if you've never had a switch bonus from the bank, the offer T&C's require you to firstly use the CASS service to switch another account in, and secondly the account switched in must be from another bank...or did you miss the post that @danco was responding to?WillPS said:
Why not? Existing customers can get the switch offer too.danco said:Don't think you can get the offer if you switch from one Santander account to another. But you could get a burner account, switch from that to Edge Up to get the offer and later move the other account to the Edge Up one.0 -

Usually you have to switch from a bank that is different to the one you are switching to. A change of account at the same bank wouldn't be a switch.WillPS said:

Oh I see. Yes, an account/change upgrade to an eligible account isn't sufficient to get the bonus - but then nor is opening an eligible account. In either case, or indeed if you already have an eligible account, the bonus can be obtained by doing a CASS switch (from a non-Santander bank account).0 -
but you need to make an appointment and initiate switch in the branchWillPS said:crumpet_man said:

There's a number you can ring too - it's on this thread somewhere. For whatever reason they don't publicise it but it works.jadex said:

You can only get the switch incentive if you switch a non-Santander account into a Santander account. This can be an existing or a new Santander account.

@Bridlington1 - I'm struggling with designing a spreadsheet that can keep a track of everything. Do you have any suggestions? for example layout or what to enter?0
-
I would just start with the basic information and work from there. For keeping track of switching offers it doesn't need to be anything fancy, I would just have one column showing the bank name, another showing the amount received and a third showing the date you received the money.worriednoob said:@Bridlington1 - I'm struggling with designing a spreadsheet that can keep a track of everything. Sorry if this has been asked before, but can I transfer £1500 from my Santander savings account to my Santander current account ? Or does it have to come from another bank ?0
-
I just created a "Bank Switch" folder in my email and when I receive the first email (usually the "Welcome" email), I just tag it for that folder. I can always then just click into that folder to check banks and dates when in doubtworriednoob said:@Bridlington1 - I'm struggling with designing a spreadsheet that can keep a track of everything. Gone for it, rude not to, especially with the TCB 'bonus'. Which has tracked within a few minutes. Just have to wait for my details to come through in the post now.0
