To add insult to injury they want you to add other bank accounts to it, I don't think so!, I'm thinking of leaving Santander and just using my chase account or switching to one of the other online banks (after checking out their Apps..

Also, the old app had the ability to add other accounts to it. I don't see why this would be "adding insult to injury".
I've used the online bank apps and really dislike them. Stuff just seems really randomly placed and are probably more childish than Santander is (especially Monzo).1 -

You thinking of leaving Santander in general or just because you don't like the look of the app?.
Santander have a decent Edge Saver account.
As long as you can do what you need to do online/via app it doesn't matter that much what it looks like surely?

yes I am on iOS. And I absolutely dread the day when they force me off the old app, or onto a new version of the old app. The only positive the Pilot app had for me was that the list of payees was sorted alphabetically. Everything else I found of no value - starting with the garish read, the restrictions on payee naming and the random, mandatory, list of accounts and cards on the home page, and waste of display space with icons for useless things like "Help Centre", "More...", My Money Manager".If the new version is anything like the Pilot version, I am very seriously considering to move a considerable amount of my banking away from Santander, despite having been a customer of theirs for well over a decade. I still like their DD cashbacks, and they occasionally have good savings accounts, and therefore I won't cut my ties with Santander completely. But their app is second rate, if not third. They never ONCE listened to my many suggestions on how they could improve their app with simple changes. Even the Natwest/RBS/Ulster app beats the bejesus out of them, and so does the LBG group one. It will be a huge effort for me to move my 30+ standing orders manually to another bank but I am at the stage where I just can't put up with a second/third rate app.0

Natwest has one of the best apps out there so that isn't surprising.
Maybe spend some time with the new app to get used to it first? I really don't agree with any of the stuff you are saying are issues but maybe I just got used to it quicker than you.

I am fully aware on what is involved in moving 30+ SOs manually to another bank, which is why I don't like the idea of doing it.Lightning360 said:Well surprisingly, they are under no obligation to listen to any of your suggestions. Most banks won't.

Your experience with the app may differ, but it won't change mine
Subjective criticism of my subjective views of the Santander app do encourage me even further to gradually move off Santander, so well done Santander defenders
