I am sure I read somewhere that the Pilot app was no longer recommended by Santander. Well, I have just installed an upgrade, released 4 days ago. This is on iOS. Version 1.23.0. Although not all of the supposedly new functions, such as cheque deposit, seem to actually be in this version. Still no sign of the actual new app for me.

Is there a way to create a standing order in the new app? I can only see options for viewing and deleting.

Under manage payments, then standing orders, it used to say 'create, change and delete' - however, I was never able to create a standing order.
Since then it has changed to and now says 'see, change and delete'.

Anyone else experiencing this with refunds in the app?
Santander is telling me this is completely normal - the pending credits are also showing on my statement as cleared, but they are saying they will also show as pending.
This is because the refund hasn´t been received by the retailer, but they have cleared it themselves - thus it shows on the statement and in pending.... only when the money has been received from the retailer will it drop off the pending (which they say can take up to 6 months!)
For example the £12.66 credit pending on 11th May is also showing as cleared on the statement on 13th May - see screenshots.
This has never happened before - refunds have never appeared in pending until this month.
Makes it all look untidy and makes the balance including pending total, and the pending total inaccurate.
Would appreciate thoughts, as Santander is saying this is all normal.
(it doesn´t show in online banking, only the app)

So, I've finally had my "forced" upgrade to the new Santander. The good news is that it's not as bad as their Pilot app.
However, there are a few things it desperately needs including:
- a dark mode (the background is less eye friendly than the old app);- the ability to reorder accounts on the home page (I want to see my savings accounts before the cards I have); and- an option to make each box on the home page and transaction feed smaller (as Nationwide has recently done).Way too much scrolling otherwise3 -
In regards to my post - i had it confirmed that credits are normally hidden from pending - but in the new app they are not - which may be an oversight. The agent i spoke to is submitting a recommendation that this goes back to being hidden as admits it makes it somewhat confusing.1
