It's so good that you are able to come on here and record how you are doing ~ which is amazing by the way!
Can you get to the gym for a workout today? Or if not a fast long walk?
Your doing so well, you just got to get through today. Don't worry about tomorrow, 1 day at a time

Gambling is just chewing gum for your mind really isn't it? There's people on the estate where I live that collect their benefits or pension then go straight to the bookies and feed the fruit machine until they have nothing left. You have to try and get your seratonin hits from not gambling - I'm trying to lose weight and I'm trying to get my hits from not eating junk food. I'm making myself a tote bag for my holidays to keep my brain and hands busy and you're going to the gym.

If you can't get to the gym what can you do to keep your mind busy? When I finish making my bag I'll start making something else. There must be something that you like to do? Model planes (I used to build them in my teens), jigsaws, hand held console to play games on? Buy an x-box and start practising now so your children don't thrash you at games when they're older? Learn another language - there's people on here that do duolingo and that has score tables. Good luck  😊

Keep on the right path and in the gym. Have you any gym goals that you are working towards? Can help with the discipline of going on those days you cba. Having a PT can help with the accountability too, I train with my Mrs who trained as a PT. Will cost a bit but your gym will probably do a deal for block bookings, it’s a bit hit and miss for me but tbf probably a lot easier when your trainer doesn’t happen to be your Mrs ha.

Weather has been horrible here too this morning.
If you like gardens/ gardening the RHS gardens are lovely, can be tied into a weekend stay too. We went to Bridgwater and stayed at the clock tower in Manchester a while back, good meal out, bit of shopping - it was a good weekend. Done a few day trips there too, they have workshops and there’s a few around the country.

Thanks, I am current juggling a pretty full on leadership role and parent of two toddlers. I have a full home gym and peloton. Going to the gym is just not a good use of time. Working at home is good, just can be hard sometimes!

Yes, we love the national trust as our boys are very good outside and easy to manage.

    Thanks for dropping in.

Thanks for dropping in. My children should be busy enough for me haha.

The gambling is linked with spending money. I spent £20 this weekend, and I wanted to win it back. That's the trigger. It's so strange because I am budgeting for £50 a weekend for spending.

I have such a warped sense of spending money at the moment.

  • Quick update

Spent around £20 this weekend on bits and bobs.

Tesco was a bit over £120 spend as I wanted a bottle of wine for my mother in law as she looks after our boys during the week and I know she likes glass in the evenings to recover.

Hopefully my octopus usage is lower again this month and we continue to build good credit up on our account, currently sitting at £300.

Finally I signed my eldest to a multi sport toddler camp every Saturday - £29 a month - Is this a luxury, yes should I be spending this on debt. No - not this money.

Wife has been a bit more human with me this week, so thats a good sign.
