  • Excellent work! I'm sure I read somewhere that having too low utilisation of credit cards is a bad thing, I think there's a sweet spot of having some credit, and not using too much of it but not having too much available.
  • Busy busy times.

Back at work no real updates, no gambling.
Spent £7 on lunches for the week at work. Rice / Chicken / Veg. Shouldn’t need to spend any more money for this week.

Thank you everyone for checking in.

  • No gambling is a good update!
  • Update

3 Separate Amex Closed and an old Halifax card.

Will leave it a while now before closing any more cards.
Interesting to see if/how closing these cards has an impact on your Credit Score, LG, as I'm in a similar position to you.  I like keeping the old cards active 'just in case', but I'd probably trade that for a 50+ increase on my credit score...

Mine is a lowly 648 (Poor) at the moment  :'(

Yes,  I am expecting it to come down and the. I don’t mind. I don’t think it matters and I only really need one or two credit cards!

6 weeks is amazing...I am aiming to get down to one credit card just for emergencies and booking the odd holiday.

Cash is king in my books and we will be sorry if we don't keep utilising it.

  • Having credit available is a good way of protecting yourself. However you need to be disciplined and careful with how you use them.

Some of my accounts are from my early 20’s and I have been offered big credit limits!!

Yes 6 weeks without gambling, so that’s good I guess.
