  • So quick two month round up:

    Debt
    • CC Debt - £7500 reduced to £6,185
    Loan
    • £10,400 reduced to £10,113
To clear the remaining £6185 before the 0% ends I need to be paying £600 a month. This is a challenge, hopefully will get a pay rise in September to £80,000.

Great work on the debt reduction.
  • During my gambling binge around Christmas onwards I would be spending £1k a day and cashing out £100 profit.

During this time I had a failed root canal. I’ve collected my denture today and it’s absolutely horrible and reminds me of my braces.

Going to need an implant but staggering at the price! 😩😢

  • So coming up to nearly 7 weeks now without a gamble.

If you gamble and you read my thread, here is when I had a problem, but did not act on it soon enough.

At soft play with my children, playing £250 blackjack hands whilst watching my two boys having a great time. I put down £1000 on roulette to win £200 with a risk to lose it all.

I started to become completely dead to winning and just wanted more. Often playing from 10pm to 4am in the morning.

Big swings leaving to profit of £2k. Then within two days depositing back and losing the £2k.

Now with a clear head and 5 weeks of exercising and no booze I feel my senses have returned.

Regarding spending this week only £1.10 on a doctor pepper which I wanted as a treat.

Unfortunately we have a management bill of £99 to pay for the month. So that’s just coming out of the extra money from this month.

Keep putting the work in mate as you are now and the rewards will come. Easier said than done, of course but it is worth it.

Not sure what management bill is but I assume it is related to a leasehold property - this should be accounted for in your budget rather than coming out of extra money. I would also say that you should consider putting some money aside for the implant too.

The management fees is linked to our house. Freehold. We bought a new build and all 36 of us have to pay management fees.

The company running the estate didn’t forecast correctly and therefore we are having to pay around £100 to cover the shortfall.

Current put away £35 a month for annual fees.

It’s a !!!!!! take really - the whole concept for new build estates. We’ve bought and sold two previously.

Recently had some implants myself, approx £2000 per tooth. Expensive but well worth it. Maybe set it as a savings goal?

The tooth I had removed is lower near the back and can’t be seen when smiling.

Can’t be wearing a denture. Feel about 80!

  • So, for reference the urge to gamble is prob at an all time high and has been for two days.

Missed a workout yesterday so maybe this is linked.
