Evening all ..
I'm being a (lot) little lacklustre this week ... basics are covered ...
Nothing major, just meh .... I'm fed up of the weather .... I fell over last week getting into the car and this week, the pain has kicked in further ... last week was bruises! Which given how much I need to get done at the allotment is quite difficult.
Oh well ... onwards ...GC - March 2024 -6 -
I am here ladies, reading in the background but not posting. The BD has sat on me a bit, the fact that IT NEVER FLUFFING STOPS RAINING really doesn’t help my mood.
Ive also been spending some time looking inwards at what I really want. I have come to the difficult decision to sell my sheep ahead of lambing time. Doing it all singlehanded alongside full time work, plus raising the bairns, plus the dogs and hens, plus trying to keep the house in order, plus keeping my sanity in tact - well it just ain’t happening.A chap from up Swaledale is coming tomorrow.I have been raging inside as well at an error he-who-must-not-be-named when he did something plumbing based to help me a while ago, which has resulted in something else being broken now to the tune of a £700 repair. I want to rage at him on text, but it will achieve absolutely nothing. Never again, even when I’m really struggling, will I ask for his ‘help’.
Moan over. I’ve read but not retained, so I’ll send all my love to you all. I think you’re fab and my life would be rather rubbish without you in it xx6 -
Woke up feeling a bit better so put one load through WM and hung it out as mild and breezy. One load also through DW.
Did a bit more of current report before going to uni. I wore a face shield to try and protect the student from any germs I had; she wasn't too concerned as she comes into contact with a lot of The Public in her job. Took a hot lemon an hour before, but part way through the assessment my voice started going and I had a coughing fit - really embarrassing. Luckily the student was very understanding and after changing the order of assessment round so I stopped talking for a while (the early part is mainly discussion), plus sips of cold coffee (negotiating the face shield) and a cough sweet, I carried on. The rest of the assessment went ok but I was glad to be finished and very tired by the end.
Stopped off at Ald! on my way home; didn't really feel like it but I go right past it and it will save me a special trip out as we needed quite a few bits and although I park at Mr T's to go to my drumming tomorrow, it is so much more expensive.
Sadly no further energy once I got home so it's an early night for me.
ASB a hard decision but you've clearly thought about it therefore it is the right decision for you and your family.

Well done Mr N! And I hope you feel better soon, Narc0 xx
I'm sorry to hear that you have to sell your sheep, ASB, and very upset for you with regard to the plumbing fiasco xxx
Tomorrow I was supposed to be going with DH to the funeral of a good friend, but I've had to change my plans, as the vision in my op eye has not improved today. I can manage most things in the house (no heavy lifting allowed!) and took Rosie out for a walk at lunchtime, but had to wear clip-on Polaroids over my specs to protect my op eye from the wind (no lens on that side of the specs). On a grey day that made it very difficult for me to see where I was walking. I don't think I could cope with crowds, uneven paving and getting on or off trains on curved platforms, all of which will feature in the journey or at the cathedral.
My other flying today has consisted of
- FUPA clean washing
- made soup for lunch
- WULTD
- defrosted and reheated tea.
Not much, but better than nothing!
Hope the WAC isn't too crowded tonight xxx7 -
Morning xx
I went to bed later than usual and slept better over all, but I did wake myself up calling out as I was being chased through a dark church by an unknown assailant. 😱
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping a brew.
@Cloth_of_Gold - I'm not far from your old stomping ground of 'ull. But I live south of the muddy river. And thankyou for your lovely comments. 😍
YL - knowledge is power 😉 I've had a word with my amygdala this morning- but it answered back! Said it's not his fault he's overactive if I insist on waking him up with frightening dreams. Hmmm. 🤔 Which came first the chicken or the egg? Have you tried the STOP technique? I find it usually works. And there's been a lot of deep breathing going on round here as that's supposed to calm the amygdala. (I love that word..but then I'm a geek 🤓. )
I didn't phone the tree surgeon to discuss removal of the large conifer as there's birds already nesting in it. So that'll be an end of the year job.
Right. Brew 2 and then I'll be back with a Round.
Hugs to all.
