Morning xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, completed Wordle and Connections, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. No I'm not going to the paid stuff. (Although I almost wish that I was as my anxiety is making this a most unrelaxed week off and being busy at work would be a distraction. Note I did say that I almost wish 😉)
Anyhoo I've done some research (G00gled) and diagnosed myself with 'anticipatory anxiety' due to an overactive amygdala. Since I have GAD this is a reasonable assumption. I am concerned that NN is going to park on the road and block my view of oncoming traffic again - leading me to get wiped up when reversing out. Probably a reaction to my near miss on Friday morning. 😱. Apparently deep breathing and meditation are the way forward to a calmer amygdala. (I love that word. It's like having a new pet that needs training 🙈. I know. I know. I'm crackers)
So. To let NN know that I still need to get out of my drive - in case he's noticed I'm not at work this week - I'm going to set off to Mr T's at the same time as I would usually set off for work. I told you: crackers!
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I go. I'm going to buy Easter eggs and a toothbrush, and possibly a washing up bowl. Then I'm calling at Pops for a coffee and a catch up.....if he's up! If not I'll go back later. I don't remember the last time I went to Mr T's. I'm assuming it will be quiet at this time in the morning. 🤷♀️.
Anyway that's the plan. Have a good day. See you later.

morning all off to the paid stuff today
WM x 1, looks fine so may peg out once i check the forecast. DW x 1. ETA …forecast not good. Not worth the risk as i won’t be at home.
I have to frog 2 rows of knitting. Today i want to knit the band for Baby E’s cardigan. I’ve decided to knit a smaller one for Baby A, that’s the one i have to frog.
Hope you all have good days. Love Hobson’s choice, I watched too (plus I like John Mills).Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Not much done yesterday as I had a bad night's sleep due to the lingering cough of doom! 🤦♀️ did the dailies though and did a bit more shredding.
@Fayolle, I'm glad you're enjoying my slow living thread - feel free to join us, doesn't matter if your head is a shed 😂
@roundtuit - I'm glad the thread inspired you to do some garden tidying! 😁 I need to do the same if it ever stops raining! 🤦♀️
Today I have the entire day and most of the evening alone so I have no fixed plans other than doing the bedding and towels. I should have some tarragon plants coming today so I will be potting those on if they arrive and also sorting my okara fertiliser out now that it's dehydrated.
Tomorrow will be a busier day so I'm making the most of today's peace! 😉

Mr T was quiet. Easter eggs, toothbrush and toilet rolls purchased. There was a washing up bowl but it was square and I couldn't decide if it would fit in my rectangular sink or not, so I didn't buy it.
Pops' curtains were still closed so I came straight home and made myself a coffee. T rolls and toothbrush are on the stairs waiting to go up; E eggs have been stashed in the kitchen cupboard which has been recently emptied.
Is it mild or is it me?

It is almost a springy type day Round, yes. Bit damp and grey here but not cold.I may go wild and hang washing out. I need a trot to my mothers to take her MD presents.. I've been too busy and she is going out about 2:30 so I need to go shortly if I am going.
I have a parcel to post and another jumper I sold which I cannot find anywhere so I have 1 more bag to look in and then I will go through every box and bag again.. it must be somewhere!pack up bits bought and milk so no need to go to shop later.lunch/brunch snaffled..Having a cuppa and will make a decision on laundry next.. and the DW needs loading and I have school bits to V1nted.. I have cleared the table so it jut needs a wipe and it is good to go.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Hello all. Hope you're all well today.
I have done a work shift, dailies, walked Poppet for an hour and returned an escaped dog to its owner, spent 15 minutes tidying in the garden, wiped the table, did shredding and I've put the bin out for tomorrow.
Going to knit for a while before next work shift.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Had a couple of hours with Pops this morning.
Bins put out ready for emptying tomorrow. Tea towels FUPA. Towels artfully arranged on radiators upstairs to finish off. Airer FUPA.

ETA Almost forgot: pile of paperwork on kitchen table is almost under control. Box of Christmas cards put on the stairs to be taken up and stashed.IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme5 -
@roundtuit you are not crackers, you are lovely. And I totally understand your thinking and how it has made you do certain things to avoid the anxiety. I don't know whereabouts in the country you are but I wish you lived near me; we could meet up and have a good laugh.@pigpen sorry to hear about DD but I hope it's not pectus excavatum as that sounds best avoided.@Valli funny you watched Hobson's Choice too. I would have enjoyed I think but I didn't watch as it gave me an opportunity to have a couple of hours on my own, albeit that I wasted them. This morning I walked down to the high street and back (about 2.5 miles) as I wanted to see what Easter cards they had in Waterstone's - only a couple of, not very nice, designs as it turned out. I bought a few general cards though, as I go through a lot, so it wasn't a wasted journey and it also doubled up as my day's exercise. I'm thinking of getting some kettle bells to exercise with because as you get older you lose conditioning and I don't want to do that( at least no more than I probably already have). We do have a 2kg one but it's not heavy enough so I'll look online. On the way back from Waterstone's I stopped off at Waitrose for a couple of things and once home prepared lunch and washed up. I then spent a lazy couple of hours watching some rubbish TV. After that I made tea and we cut the M&S Christmas cake that I bought heavily reduced after Christmas. It's use-by date was late May but I did wonder how nice it would be. In fact it was very nice, and pretty moist. The icing and, especially, the marzipan were very thin (when I make our cake I make loads of marzipan as we like it really thick) but overall it was good.I washed up and then in anticipation of visiting this thread I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen floors and vacc'd everywhere. This thread really encourages me to do housework, even though I find it very boring!

I now know what my amygdala is, think mine is a bit faulty too Round. I get anxious about work when I am not there and sometimes think it would be easier to not have holidays.
Tiring day worked 8.30am to 6pm with a break for a trip to the opticians. I am going to have new glasses, £245 but that includes sunglasses too.
Flying has been limited to a bit of laundry. DH has hoovered.6
