Zed42 said:Hull - I found that a really interesting set of comments. I have no family from that way, but I do have a whole load of ancestors who live(d) in Notts / Lincs / Derbyshire ... with an uncommon surname in this country but a common one in Germany and I've long surmised that the route in was via Hull ... still seems reasonable (I'm talking back to the late 1600's)
my genetic makeup is VERY uninteresting.. 80% Irish, 18% Scot and a smidge of Scandinavian (Viking) ... I am so white I glow in the dark! if I was naked in the sunlight you could see me from space!! lol
Tesc0 bought.. forgot Twinkles milk.. buzzards...

I then drove to town, worked out how to use the new parking meter .... the chap at the front of the queue couldn't fathom it out at all so I was dreading my turn. But I was fine. Then I went to B0yes for the first time ever and indulged in a little retail therapy. Most unusual for me as I'm not a fan of shopping. I came out with much needed knickers and nighties, as well as what I went in for...and I blame my flylady friends for this!!! .... a pattern, wool and knitting needles. I haven't knitted for years but you've given me the urge 😊

piggers - that's the idea. Start knitting now for possible grandbeasties to wear in the future. I'm a very slow knitter. 🐌

roundtuit said:Just seen on FB that someone tried to break into NN7's van while it was parked in the lay-by opposite overnight. So I'm now worried that they've broken into NN5's too - as he's started parking over there so that I can see to get out of my drive.
I cooked tea - that's flying 😋

I have read all your news but not absorbed it all. ASB I think you have made the right decision to let the sheep go if it doesn't make sense time or money wise. You can only stretch yourself so far even if it's a bit sad to let them go, and sorry to hear about the plumbing, you seem to be having an expensive time of it.
I have been feeling a bit Eyeore like, can't shake it off and the weather really doesn't help. Finished work early so DH and I could go to a local Forestry Commission site, had a little walk then coffee and cake. £12 well spent.Round I think I am not looking after my amygdala very well. He needs yoga, meditation and less stress. I have this vision of him curled up in a corner shaking and whimpering.
I am interested in the discussions about Hull, my only experience is going with DH and DS to a very big fishing tackle shop on the outskirts. We have been over the Humber Bridge many times though.
Washing and ironing up to date, cordless vac run around and hard floors mopped. Kitchen tidied and DW on. Feet up now.8 -

Service booklet added to folder in glove compartment. Paper mats taken up and placed in recycling box.

Yesterday I checked my Assessment Practising Certificate renewal on the website; it has been 'pending' but the status has just moved to 2027 expiry so I guess I passed the renewal process, phew; they can be very picky.
Finished and emailed a report.
Minor bit of tidying as I washed up in the kitchen.
Bit of gardening done, including testing our pond - we haven't seen frogs for a few years and can't work out why.
Exchanged various emails/calls/texts with DB to reorganise a family lunch which we were due to attend next month. It's a real feat organising 7 people from various parts of the country; some are retired but very busy, others working, one needs picking up from furthest away. DB has just been offered work in France (he organises/escorts mainly cycle trips and other events) that weekend, being a helper at the Paris marathon and he doesn't really want to turn it down - the original staff member has dropped out. Anyway I think we are rescheduled.
That's me exhausted although I've started another report.
Have a good weekend everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7
