Hi all.
@Cloth_of_Gold, my married name is unusual, (unlike my maiden name which was, I believe, eleventh in the list of most common), only around 1000 people with my surname in the world in 1900. DD1, has traced back to 1558, although she too had problems with repeated names. James and Sarah. Two couples, born in the same village, married in the same church a couple of years apart, had three boys called James between them!
Just sorting jigsaw pieces for DGD2, she's on her third of the morning, 100 pieces, done in a few minutes, and only 5 years old!
DW loaded but not full yet, will be when the other DGC come down and eat. More weeds to get in and watering in the tunnel to do.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -

Me again.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday level ones done except washing out bins. My usual dailies are done, Poppet has been walked and I've hoovered the carpeted areas.
I'm just finishing my lunch and plan to spend a couple of hours in the garden. There's lots to do outside.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
@mumtoomany and @pigpen your names sound like endangered species! Piggers, it sounds as if you went from the sublime to the ridiculous. I've never met anyone with the same surname as I have, although I used to work with someone who said he had. That sounds like 'I danced with a man who danced with a girl who danced with the Prince of Wales'.This morning after eye drops I took a bag of rubbish down and then went to the shops. I went for two things but could only get one, but it didn't matter as it also served as my walk. When I got back I washed up A's breakfast things and made the marzipan to top the simnel cake. I rolled it out and topped the cake and made 12 marzipan balls (11 for the apostles, minus Judas, and a larger one in the centre for Jesus). Rather nervously I put it under the grill and browned the tops of the marzipan balls and now it's on a plate waiting for tomorrow. I would like to put a piece of ribbon around the edge, and I always have lots of ribbon, but have always found fastening ribbon around cake difficult for some reason. When I took out everything from the, rarely used, top oven/grill I found a roasting tray that I had forgotten to wash up when last used it (weeks ago) to make roast potatoes.I then washed up (although not the roasting tray yet as that needs special attention) and have just shared a cheese straw with A (they are large) prepared his lunch and am having a glass of wine before making my own lunch. After lunch I need to blitz the bathroom and kitchen, vac around and, at some point, make a trifle for tomorrow's pud. Hope everyone's having a good day.

V.little flying occurring here, 2 x WM .... now run out of laundry detergent, so asked DH/DD to get some on their way back. However, did spend morning down the allotment and the first of my onions and shallots have now been firmly decluttered from the polytunnel into the ground ...Need to summon energy to do some ironing this afternoon, still haven't found a movie to watch though! (Can't say I've tried too hard
