kaz - if you earn £35k per year you'll be £450 better off. For those on £15k they'll be £49 better off. For those on £150k they'll be £754 better off. Hope that helps.
I've driven home carefully, called at PO and paid the rent, picked up my parcel, and withdrawn cash ready to pay the hairdresser on Friday evening. NN has been round to make the hole in my bird house a tad bigger so I'm hoping the next blue tit to examine it will move in. I've put out the bin and a recycling box ready to be emptied tomorrow, changed into my scruffs and I'm having 5 minutes.
L, who I share an office with and get on really well with, has handed in her notice today 😭. She has another job to go to. I don't blame her. But I will miss her.
Love to all.

Hi all
Cycled into the office today, first time in ages. My eyes have been sore and irritated on and off for weeks and today they were awful, my vision also felt a bit off. I have got an opticians appointment for tomorrow. Bit bothered about it.
Little bit of ironing done, bit of tidying up done. House is reasonably presentable.8 -
I've decided to 'unretire' and get a job so that I can benefit from the NI cut.Hope you get reassurance at the optician tomorrow @YORKSHIRELASSThis morning I put some washing on and then went out and bought a birthday present for my friend who has gone back to Manchester to care for her father. I came back and made lunch and washed up and then remembered the washing, which had finished ages before, whilst I was out.
I took it out and did two more loads and am now part way through the TDing. I would have finished by now if I hadn't forgotten about the washing when I came home.
After lunch I cleaned the bathroom basin, mirrors, lav and floor and also the kitchen floor and vacc'd everywhere so done quite a bit of flying again. I made tea and had two slices a slice of a battenburg I'd bought in the bakery department of a shop I went to when I was out, and very nice it was too. I washed up, prepared supper, washed up and am now watching a bit of tennis online, although it's now time to start the bed time eye routine and put out A's breakfast things.Sleep well everyone.8 -
i have decluttered more blood. Despite my best intentions i haven’t drunk much more but i’m not worrying, i’ll see tomorrow. tbh it’s been nice to function normally bowel-wise. DW loaded. Bins out for recycling. Towels airing on maiden. v, tired tbhDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning allI read that sentence too quickly and thought you hadn’t drunk enough blood Valli…Murky and grey here. I had my new stove lit all afternoon yesterday and I love it, the kitchen was a toasty 20.5 degrees without any central
heating on.I did a small wash load last night which is now in the TD. I’ve unloaded the DW and enjoying a cuppa in bed. Lots to do at the paid stuff today, although I will nip out for an hour at lunchtime to collect the blind for DS room that I’ve had altered.Best get on and wake DD, have fab days all xx8 -

or ning all. Paid stuff today, various people popping in to see me and I’m expecting a call from the oncologist so no doubt something will clash.
DW x 1.
Need to think about tea. Using something from the freezer would be best… might get the cottage pie out.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning everyone. Hope all are well.
Spent most of yesterday cooking, enchiladas and cheese and onion pie, before going to the tunnel to do more weeding! Getting better at remembering I should weed after making pastry, not before! Fewer black bits in it that way round, haha. Also got all the towels and bedding washed and line dried. I think summer must be in its way, or at least spring.
More weeding to do today, nettles and chickened mostly. I hate nettles! Even with gloves I end up stung. Must look through the seeds too, see what else needs starting off.
@Asparklierblonde, what sort of stove is it? Can you cook on it as well as heat? We installed a stanley, wood fired, when we first came here. Second hand. It was great for cooking, but not very good to hear the house. Too many rooms, too many drafts. It also required someone, me, to keep fueling it all day!

Yay! for the new stove, ASB x
Hope you found out which levers and knobs to pull/push and got to work in one piece, round x
I feel as if I haven't stopped all morning - maybe it's true!
- had breakfast, showered and dressed, made my bed
- 5 min PUPA
- checked finances
- wrote a birthday card and put a stamp on it, will post it on my way out this afternoon
- emptied, defrosted, cleaned and re-filled the kitchen FF
- cooked a swede with some carrots, mashed it all down with butter and pepper, boxed it up, remembered to label the boxes, put them in freezer; then sliced (separately) red onions, white onions and leeks, bagged them up, put them in freezer - I still have some yellow peppers to deal with
- cooked chicken and lots of bits of leftover veg for lunch: DH is going to the dentist later, so needs something soft this evening
- made parsnip soup for tea tonight
- wrote a shopping list for tomorrow
- sent a long overdue email
I ought to have made an appointment with the opticians to get my glasses adjusted, but it can wait until tomorrow. After Rosie's walk I have an hour's drive to the far side of Millennium City to visit my youngest godchildren.
At least I'm in a MAD mood!
