piggers - I forgot to give DS his presents from Pops but I have taken P & S theirs this afternoon. So that's a tad more gone. A good HH Admin will clear the bulk of the pile methinks. 😊

NN went out in his van so I nipped over to see P & S bearing gifts. See above. Turns out that the narrowness of the drive is not a problem when I have a clear view of the road. So. Big girl's knickers on. I've been to ask NN if he would mind parking his van on his drive as I can't see oncoming traffic with it parked on the road. He's going to park it in the lay-by just up the road from here. And breathe.... I feel a bit sick now. But that's better than having an accident. 

I've put the flowers DS brought me in a vase - is that flying? 

And I had a play with the mirrors and worked out how to manually fold them in. But still didn't feel inclined to play cat and mouse with oncoming traffic when my view was obstructed so thoroughly. 

Maybe now the adrenaline will stop pumping.

Yay for NN ... mine just died at christmas and his car has been parked directly outside my house ever since.

Glad you found the car manual, round, and well done for plucking up courage to speak to Him Nextdoor.  In a month's time you'll be such a dab hand at the buttons and levers that you'll wonder what the fuss was all about.  And well done on the flingage too xx

I've received some very beautiful and thoughtful cards from my children and grandchildren.  One came in such a pretty envelope - lots of bees and flowers - that I've put that on display as well.

I had a very social morning at church, chatting to people before the service and over coffee afterwards, then took the long and winding route home, playing postman on behalf of my youngest godchildren in Millennium City and delivering gifts to their three other godmothers who had been unable to come to the service today: one currently housebound, one too far away to get to church on time, but about to move house back to our parish, and the other recovering from a great night out with her husband and all the family to celebrate their Ruby Wedding!

DH went out to his war games this afternoon (he even missed the Wales match) so once I'd had a bit of a sit-down and a few zzz I got on with cleaning through downstairs and finishing all 7 loads of washing, so that everything is up to date for the week ahead.  Just my bed to make up with fresh sheets next, and a few pillowcases to iron whilst watching the Antiques Roadshow later.

It has poured with rain all day and Rosie has not had a walk because she hates getting wet and wouldn't even put her nose outside the back door.  Too dark now!
