Today I have decluttered:
- Old sofa throw that puppy had chewed
- Huge bagful of soft plastics to recycling at the Co-op
- Old woodburner
- Four runner ducks (actual live ones!) to a new home
- An old board game that we all really dislike
- Two BINBAGS FULL of photographs
This feels good. Stuff coming in shortly by way of an Asda delivery, but that's okay. I have also ordered x3 A4 frames for the posters I bought for DS room. Paid for next day delivery which is still a heckuva lot cheaper than the petrol for me to drive to the town and pay to park!8 -
ASB I have stove envy, ours will have to wait a bit longer. We'll done on the decluttering.
Thanks CofG the optician couldn't really see anything wrong. He thinks I have slightly dry eyes, poor quality tears and my 4 year old glasses are not quite right, but he doesn't want to do anything about the glasses at the moment. He prescribed eye drops (£13!) and also wants me to start taking omega supplements.
Busy day at the paid stuff. Kitchen floor hoovered and mopped, DW on. I could sleep now.9 -
Well we've had a day and a half.. My mother had her second cataract op, my (estranged) BIL is closing his shop becaus ehe is having cancer treatment, DD1's ex was arrested.. then released.. I have a raging infection in my section scar.. I knew I felt ropey but I take loads of pain meds so I didn't know it hurt.. I knew it was itchy today and just checked and it is gross.. I need a GP appointment it is that glorious.. I have the grandboys in the morning while DD1 is at dentist.. so tomorrow is going to be a day too..
I'm just knitting.. it's easier.. I have the back of Beanies jumper almost done.
I decluttered a nap, did pack ups and haven't had dinner.. I'm not sure I am hungry..

Morning all xx
Never again will I write on Monday morning 'I wonder what this week will bring'' Never. Not ever. If I forget and do, please shoot me.
Touch wood yesterday was calmer. I filled Vin with DIESEL for the first time without having to wrestle with the anti syphon thingy. The cashier did calmly announce that the doctor has just diagnosed her with schizophrenia as I waited to pay. Just a normal day in Roundland then! I think I have one of those faces that invites people to talk to me.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping my brew.
It's Friyayyyyyy 💃 💃. Annual Leave all next week, then two x 3 day weeks as I've booked my last day's leave for 22nd March, and the following week tis Good Friday. Then the holiday calendar resets on 1st April and off we go again. I have weeks pencilled in for May, July, August and November. I do like to have something to look forward to. 🙂
I had to take a letter through to Macmillan Nursing Team yesterday and they were asking me to apply for their vacant Admin post. I'm tempted. It would get me away from Poison Alley for starters! And my mate L is leaving. Depends on what's advertised. If it's less than 30 hours a week it's not financially viable. But it's nice to be wanted 😊.
piggers - healing vibes being sent over the muddy river. 😘
Have a good day everyone

Piggers I am sorry you have such a lot on. We are always here for you xx
Round you make me smile every day with your sense of humour and the narrative of your life. Please never stop posting!
After yesterday's marathon declutter I thought I would be shattered today, but I'm not too bad. Another full bin bag left the premises today. I need to crack on with paid stuff today, but also have a church service to attend this morning for DS school (note to self, wrap up warm!) and visiting a friend's for a cuppa. I have already done a small load of washing which is draped over the airer by the fire, and cleaned out the shower plughole. Cuppa and brekkie now!
Have fab days all xx7 -
8:00:07 I called docs.. 21 in queue.. took 15 minutes to get ansewred.. 4:20 I'm there.. Ihave grandboys now and again at 1 when DD1 is at opticians. and school run at 3..I need to load WM's and hang up clean stuff. My infected bit is really sore and itchy.. germolene FTW ..
Next knitting project decided on.. I need to finish this sweater first though.. the back is nearly done and I will do sleeves next because I hate doing those.

Morning all .... hurrah it's Friday!Daughter is back from college tomorrow, so she's started packing and throwing across a lot of ... "could you just bring" .... so I guess I'll be playing hunt the whatever's ! And failing that, a roll of bin bags (doubles up as a suit carrier, right?!)Other
Friday - End of week roundup
Basic Flying
Hoover anywhere not done or that needs redoing - empty vacuum first
Change any bedding left to do - all done
Empty all the bins - just the bathroom bin to do .... refuse to have a kitchen bin, as people always make a mess of the lid etc., and I was the only one who cleaned it ... and I don't "do bins" ! However, do need to take the compost caddy down to the allotment and empty that.
Dust tv screens and anywhere you've missed - good shout!
Deep Cleaning
Wipe some paintwork - gone deaf at that one, not listening
Spot clean a carpet rug - ha, I tried that last night ... DH dropped wood stain all over the living room carpet a while back, watching the Stacey Solomon thing the other day, one of the chaps recommended shaving foam ... I can tell you, it did not remove the wood stain (didn't really think it would, but worth a shot!) ...
Wash throws or cushions - yes, will do that, cat has started to shed more fur .. sign of Spring hopefully ?!
Decluttering
The weather is set to be sorted of dry for most of us for the weekend so outside declutter
Empty any pots of dead stuff from last summer - need to do this, but ignoring it for the moment
Sweep up any leaves loitering in corners
Give sheds and garage a tidy up so you can get to the sunloungers and kids toys when that lovely spring days arrives (real soon I hope) - will save that job for when DD is back from college and then we can tackle it together.
Ironing - I do want to get that out of the way, so will do a movie's worth later. Hope I can find a movie I want to watch!
Allotment - need to start digging in the green manure
Allotment - tie in blackberry plants
Take soft plastics to supermarket for recycling

oncologist rang at about 5:30. Full of apologies. I had had a message from her sec saying she’d had to go to the ward to speak to patients and families. I doubt they were happy conversations, having been on the receiving end of those (see sig).
So now i am sitting by my phone. waiting for the pharmacy team. well taking it everywhere with me.
Yesterday was hectic at work, head was spinning…need to log on to do wages. Will take time off in lieu (mind you when i’m back on the tablets it’ll be in loo)
At some point today i want to knit the right border of the white cardi, and check my button stock.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi, @Natty68, maybe we should have our own meet up. Along with any other Welshies that want to join in.
More weeds out yesterday. Should finish in the tunnel today. Hopefully I've removed all the chickweed, before it's had chance to seed. It came in with some compost! Nettles will be back, it's almost impossible to get all the roots out.
DW finished its first run, needs refilling. May put a wash load in too.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx
