Morning, morning
WM just spinning and will go out on the line
Coffee being drunk
DW loaded
Hoover thrown around kitchen and living room
Retired to bed to drink coffee as house temp is currently 14.
Shall get up shortly and wander over to the local farmers' market, which generally has no farmers, but we shall see
Then it is off to pickup DD from college, which will mean that the living room will look like hell later and the washing machine will no doubt be on full for the rest of the day!
@pigpen - what an atrocious GP, I hope you told them where to go.
Happy Saturdays all .... the sky has blueness and I do believe the sun is making an appearance!!!

Evening all. It's been a busy day here with both DGDs but Poppet has been walked, dailies have been done, I sewed buttons on two pairs of trousers and the third wash load is about to go in machine. DH is away for over a week now, the girls went home an hour ago, so I'm about to watch some mindless telly.Spend less now, work less later.6

Evening all. Hope everyone has had a good day.
I have done everything off my list, and more:
- checked finances and did a money shuffle
- taxed my car within 24 hours of receiving the reminder - go me!
- cooked the chicken thighs I bought yesterday in the SC, and wrapped up the uncooked chicken breasts for freezing
- made lunch and tea
- slept for almost 3 hours this afternoon as I was shivering and headachy, but fortunately this seems to have done the trick and I am ok now
- made 3 "bare cupboard" fruit cakes, a coffee sponge and scones
- did a freezer inventory
- wrote two long, newsy emails
- phoned a friend because I had an idea his email had been hacked - it had
- filed various papers
- watched a bit of the Crufts agility competition
- had a funny WA conversation with DS2 about hedgehogs reading books and looking for bookworms
- talked on the phone for over an hour to one of our friends from our former home city
- walked and (later) played with Rosie
Tomorrow will be another busy day:
- church
- WM x??? - clothes, towels and my bedding
- clean downstairs
- walk Rosie
- HHI
and it's quite possible that DS1 might pop round with DGD1+2 to eat cake.
Sleep well xxx

Good morning all xx
Bit early for a Sunday but who needs sleep anyway? Me! I need sleep. That's who! 🥴
Werrit Alert - feel free to ignore.
Had a nervy day yesterday which continued into a difficult to get to sleep / wake up early night. And breathe... I'm freaking out a bit because Vincent is soooo big after Feargal. And, being diesel, he doesn't have that speedy getaway ability at roundabouts and when turning right onto the main arterial road through town which I have to do each evening after work. (I was a bit of a gangsta granny in Feargal nipping out very quickly). And. Yes there's more, sorry. There's only about half/ three quarters on an inch between the wing mirrors and my gate posts which I can just about cope with - but there's a certain art to reversing out of my drive which involves checking that the road is clear both ways and then making a dash for it....can't see as you pull out a bit further as NN parks his transit van on the road completely blocking my view to the left. It wasn't a problem with Feargal as he was narrow and nippy. But, with Vincent, there's too big a gap between me checking for traffic, then negotiating the gateway before I actually hit the road. Had a near miss on Friday morning and it's spooked me bigtime. Options I've come up with are (a) remove gates to give me a little more clearance each side (would the social housing landlord object? Would they even notice? It's not a case of simply lifting off the posts it would be a metal cutting job) (b) park on the road- where DS used to park when he lived here (c) reverse onto the drive 😱 (it's difficult enough going forward onto the drive, got to line up perfectly with those gateposts) (d) trade in Vincent for a smaller nippier car (which I haven't actually seen any for sale. Is that why everyone now drives tanks? Or SUVs I think they're called) (e) never go out again. At some point in the early hours of the morning I decided to park on the road. Unfortunately that didn't stop me worrying. Just had a thought: ? ask the social landlord if I can remove the gates and move the gatepost along a foot. My head hurts and I'm tired. I was werriting all day yesterday and I wasn't even planning on going out. Even I knew that was daft; but I couldn't find the off switch 🤯
Mr G00gle says I'll quickly adjust to driving a bigger car. When DS was little I had a Lada Estate with no power steering- and I didn't bat an eyelid at that. (Had wonderfully toned arms though 🤣) And that I'll get used to not seeing where the front of the car is. What's that all about?
Did I mention that I'm not planning on going anywhere today either? I'm just an eejit.
Thank you. I needed to work that out with someone. Park on the road for now and ask about widening the entrance to the drive. (Oh my, I hate making phone calls 🤣🤣)
I'm up, MADE MY BED, ( flying has to be mentioned), and supped a brew.
Brew 2 is required.
Where's CoG? And MMM has disappeared too. Although it could be exam time for her?
Love to all.

Morning Round, send an email.
Morning everyone. Hope you're all ok today.
Poppet had a bit of a restless night and has a gurgling tummy so I'll keep a close eye on her.
I'm just having my second cuppa with my healthy breakfast which is really needed today as I'm being taken out for afternoon tea for Mother's Day. I've opened some lovely presents this morning.
Mmm, flying, well I've cooked some chicken breasts in the air fryer to make up for sandwich fillings and am planning to wash up next.
Have a great Sunday. Try not to get wet if it's also raining where you are.Spend less now, work less later.8
