Happy Mother’s Day to all of you, hope those of you remembering your mothers recall happy memories.
Had a nice day yesterday, as i went flying at work. Didn’t get the whole cafe cleaned but the areas i did clean were properly cleaned. I ran out of time. But the. lounge chairs cushions were lifted and vacuumed under…very crumby, and sills were cleared and wiped. Then i attended the bread making skill share there. Very interesting.

Morning all, just read about your GP, piggers! Terrible! When DS-i-L went to the GP, a few months ago, she was told she was too heavy. They explained BMI, the relationship between height and weight. Her response, "you are being discriminatory, it's not my fault I'm short". Shut the doctor up, they didn't know how to respond to that.
Did I mention I've got a rabbit problem in the polytunnel? I'm going to have to sort some traps, they are digging up the beds and eating everything, except the asparagus. Seeds now bursting into life.
DW done, washing to go in and then out. Lazy day ahead. Mothers day and 45th wedding anniversary. Might make a cake later.

TD x 1 (now on)
Frothy coffee made and being consumed whilst sitting in bed
DD home yesterday from college, that quickly filled the living room up! Thankfully that has now been dealt with .... well, apart from the washing, that will be an ongoing piece, especially given the weather (I like to give her duvet a wash in the hols, but need some dry weather for that!) At least she's brought her airer home too !
Today's plans may be somewhat scuppered due to the rain, may have to come up with a plan b ... I shall cogitate!
Roast lamb and yorkies later (we always have yorkies no matter the roast involved) ... DD does good yorkies and DH does a great roast
@Round - Not sure what a social landlord is, guessing it isn't one who chats a lot! If it's council or housing association, I suspect you won't get a fast response. However, I'm not sure I'd be moving anything without it being sanctioned. Perhaps practice going in and out when you're not under a time pressure then you may be able to work out the angles you need ?
Hope you all have a good day whatever the weather and whatever you have planned.

Me again.
Dailies are done, Poppet has had a walk and we stayed dry. I have hoovered through.
Think I may just sort out a book to read.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Good idea Jazee 😊
Zed42 - ooops yes social housing landlord. And you're right: I'm doing nothing without getting permission first.
I've supped brew 2, eaten toast and marmalade, got dressed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, done a laundry shuffle, and had a shufti in the glove compartment. Found the quick reference guide but not the all singing / all dancing guide that I was hoping to find.
Stupid question time. Remember I'm new to all these newfangled gadgets! Is it possible to fold in the electronic wing mirrors in order to drive through a narrow gap?
Thank you Fayolle as always for your support and common sense. Xxx
Coffee next. Text DB to ask how he is. Phone S to ask how P and D are. (D is now at home which is presumably a good thing). Then WUDUPA.

Round, yes you can move electronic wing mirrors in, the function button on my car is to the right of the steering wheel, with a little mirror on it, the L/R is to slide across if you want to change the L or R mirror, the large button underneath is to change the angle of the mirror when using the L / R button.I also suggest you go and sit in the car on your drive, proding / poking / opening / closing / moving the seats up / down, backwards, forwards. etc to test out the functions. My car is about 15 years old, and a Honda, and by the looks of that photo needs a good dustHave you tried googling the make / model of the car for an online manual? if you want to PM me the make and model I'll see what I can come up with.It is raining here, drove to Church yard, had wellies on as I know how wet it is there, and it was.Kitchen is doneBed madeNot too sure what else for today, as I was going to garden so please I did a load of weeding yesterday.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all,
Been a busy little bee this morning. Am hoping that it might help with having to own up to a 2kg weight gain this week 🙇♀️. Not sure what is going on there, could have sworn that I had been good.
Wm x 1 run early (ish), indoor flowers and plants attended to, dinner in the sc which also had the advantage of creating a tiny bit of wriggle room in the freezer, wm drawer thingy cleaned, hob and kitchen cupboard doors cleaned.Rewarding myself with my weekly coffee, and a biscuit for good behaviour - and there, m’lud, is my downfall.
Round - check on the driver’s door for a rocker switch which might be the over ride to closing the wing mirrors and vice versa. I keep mine open in freezing weather as I have had them freeze shut before. When it has been really, really cold admittedly. Good luck, Carruthers x4 -
Thank you xx
kaz - I found the manual online thankyou. I was being too specific in my search. Once I found the manual I was able to find the section on side mirrors. I need to have a play.
Fayolle - it didn't occur to me that they could freeze shut....something else to worry about 🤣. How did you unfreeze them?
DS has been bearing gifts. And left bearing two boxes and a bag of alcohol and drinking paraphernalia. Fer-ling

Hi all
Wet, cold and windy here. I threw my running kit on at 7.30am and went for a 30 minute jog down the farm track at the back of the house then followed that with a 25 minute yoga session.
DH made us bacon and eggs then we went to see MIL and then Mum. Called at Morrisons and somehow spent £22 on a small basket of groceries.
I really should wash the car, it is filthy. No point in spending too long on it as the roads are very grimy, I am currently sitting in front of the fire feeling sleepy so I should get my coat and wellies on and just do it.
Is it really work again tomorrow? Sigh.6 -
