Morning all.
I have skim read and forgotten a lot but ouch to Piggers and to Round about Feargal.
I am planning to do lots of flying today but am just about to check banking as I haven't looked for a few days.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all xx
I am resisting the urge to hide myself away. On top of the news about Feargal yesterday I was told that the chaplain gave D the last rites last week before marrying them in A&E (I knew that no-one brings forward a wedding by two days for no reason!) And my brother didn't just have the flu in January- he also had pneumonia and possibly sepsis and he stopped breathing three times while the paramedics were working on him. So instead of assimilating those three items of news over a period of time ( a short period but nevertheless a period), I had the triple whammy yesterday.
D is still with us and hopes to be able to return home soon. DB is still with us but Pops also told me more disturbing news about DB's health yesterday. And Feargal didn't miraculously mend himself overnight. My head's a complete shed.
But I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped a brew. This is when having a routine pays dividends. Autopilot rules OK.
And did I mention that Pops is coughing already? But he's already sourcing holiday insurance so they can do back to Benidorm next year. We'll need to have a party for his 90th birthday before then though.
One day at a time. I can cope with one day at a time surely. I'm a Flylady and Flyladies are made of tough stuff. 💪
Have a good day

Double ouch!! That must be very painful, pigpen - I am picturing you with a bag of frozen peas on your head and another on your big toe. I just hope everything in between doesn't also come out in sympathy! xx
Round, I'm very sorry to hear that your dear old friend Feargal is unable to carry on. Good luck with your hunt for a new car xx
I am still trying to catch up after last week's busy-ness. Everything that requires thought seems to take me twice as long these days. Fortunately Flying is simplified and DH is getting better about keeping his things in the main part of the house tidy. Yesterday he decluttered about 10 railway magazines from the kitchenMeanwhile I decluttered another medical phonecall and then had to add another horse piddle appointment to the calendar...
Did anyone else see the Chris Packham documentary on autism last night? DH and I watched it together. DH said he could see aspects of himself in one of the people Chris worked with, and I could see certain behaviours in the other person that I also recognise in myself - neither of which came as a surprise. The animated films that the team produced were amazing, but the absolute stars were the people who had the courage to speak out for themselves in a way that they had never been able to do before. Human brains are so complex and different that it's no wonder that few of us can communicate our deepest feelings to another person and be fully understood by the other. Well worth watching.
Hoping that everyone has a good or better day today, preferably with a bit of sunshine xxx

My toe hurts.. and my head hurts.. My knee and hip and demanding attention because I am unable to walk properly.. school run is going to be fun.Twinkle was a kn0b getting ready for school this morning and wailing her leg hurts.. I think it is just growing pains but she did the same yesterday then was jumping all over the place at bed time. Her Autism forms are being sent off today and the ADHD one later in the week.Squeak has been granted the EHCP.. so nw we have to decide which shcool would be best for her needs.. I am considering moving her closer to home or looking at one of the autism hubs for her.. but I am concerned the children there would be horribly behaved and take advantage of her inability to say no and be mean to her. I don't know what to do.
Round.. poor Feargal.. tbf, it is a car and can easily (if not cheaply) be replaced.. if it helps any my Da is a retired mechanic with fingers in many garages if he can be of any help let us know. As for other peoples health issues.. don't get too bogged down in it.. anything you can not change is not worth worrying about.. I know it is sad and rubbish and unfair.. I'd be more annoyed they hadn't tld you at the time like you are a delicate flower who needs protecting from the harsh realities of life.. (((hugs))) I hope DB is ok and excellent news that D will be home soon.. Booking a holiday for next year is marvellous.. I do love when older people are not so scared of living they forget to do it.
