Morning all,
Thank you so much for the lists. I am in, as much as ever!
I managed to get the WM replaced with a second hand Bosch FB Marketplace find. Shower... well. Something to do with the pump, the filters and some neglect on my part to change them. As I said, the joy of off grid water. £700....
So far today:
Beds made
WM x2, third load about to go in. Sunny and cold day here so it is on the line
Food delivery booked
A few messages sent
DW unloaded
Dry laundry FUPA
No fire lit because the builders have just arrived to fit the new kitchen stove! We currently have an open fire which is no good for a number of reasons. I wasn't expecting them so soon but I have managed to save most of it, and they don't tend to invoice for a couple of months anyway.
Right paid stuff beckons, have fab days all xx7 -
Thank you for the lists xMore snading down doneMore pollyfilling done, just waiting for that to set off, then more sanding down to do.Need to buy masking tapeTo bring the grain out of an oak lintel would you use beeswax, or danish oil or something else? the oak is an older piece, well seasoned, (ie it should not shrink) relative clean in the sense no sharp bits / insects or similar.Sun is out. Cats in field and in my bad books, as cat 3 brought in a dead birds, the other 2 cats joined in, feathers everywhere, so hoovered them up.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

P & S called in for a coffee on their way home from town. While they were here the garage phoned me to say it's not worth MOTing Feargal- both sills totally rotten, brake pipes very rusty, suspected water leak somewhere as header tank was empty and at 17 years old he doesn't recommend spending good money on it. I was thinking £500 spent on Feargal is better that £3000 (ish) on a new to me runaround. But J thinks it will cost the same again next year - and that's if they can find an unrotten bit to weld on to this year. I didn't cry. I wanted to. I had no idea that was coming. 😭
Anyhoo, P & S gave me a lift back to the garage to pick up Feargal. No charge as they hadn't logged on before checking the Advisories from last year. I trust the mechanic. I grew up with him and he has built a reputation on being honest. So I have 8 days to find a new to me car. Did I mention that I want to cry?
Anyhoo. I've been to Mr Al, bought groceries and put them away. On autopilot I think. My head is now a shed.
Oh well, we know what this week is bringing now! And it's only Monday!!! And breathe. And breathe.
I need food.

Builders are finished, fluttering eye lids worked 7 x pictures are up, they drilled the holes for me, had the job done in just under 5 mins, a local DIYer wanted £60 for the same job!Just waiting for deep fill to dry off, then I'm sanding, masking, undercoating the sides, then looking at the new plaster to see if it is fully deep dry, and if so going to mist coat it (2 parts paint / one part water mix up very well apply to new plaster and wait for it to dry.................)Mean while I have cleaned between the 2 pieces of glass door on the oven, looks so much better.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Ouch, Piggers.
Oh dear, Round. Not the news that you needed.
Thank you for the lists. I will honestly try my best to be in, a bit better than of late. I have a list for tomorrow, but the first priority is the dentist appointment, check up plus the verdict on my broken tooth.6 -
