Just had a look at Tui, there are these two last minute deals, you can see the price pretty much doubles for solo travellers however there is a £100 discount code

    Good deals 👍

My friend has a week off work from mid July we was thinking of going to spain then but Ive got a feeling July is an expensive month to book holidays
  • Ive just been looking at July holidays to spain self catering and wow the prices are insane 😳😳😳

With all due respect, if you have an expectation of £200 for flights and a week's accommodation then you'll need to get used to disappointment, especially if wishing to travel in peak season!

School holidays always push the price up.

Your best bet for a good price (although not as cheap as you'd like) is if you can go very last minute or off peak times.

How do people get cheap holidays abroad? Any tips?
What sort of holiday are you looking for?

We tend to look at Ryanscare/Sleasyjet/etc for cheap flights. Then, if anywhere takes our fancy, we get an Airbnb at the destination.

As an example, we're off to Palermo next month for a week. Flights & accomodation for 2 - £480.
    Anywhere in spain

Is that a hotel you got?
    No, flights & Airbnb.

What d'ya mean - anywhere in Spain?

Does anyone know why my Monzo card keeps declining Ryanair? I paid for some snacks on the plane but I didn't have enough money in so they keep going back for it but its still getting declined even though Ive enough money in now to cover it 🤷‍♀️

Perhaps Ryanair don't except Monzo ?
I would have thought the card would have been declined at the point of payment, rather than it going through with insufficient funds ?

Wizz don't accept such cards either.

I believe it's something to do with the cards not being able to authorise up to a floor limit as per bank policy. I have occasionally had a credit card do the same thing for whatever reason despite a perfectly adequate limit (for a €5 breakfast deal) being available.
