In my head, I was thinking ill explain the situation, and then if they reject it, I'll pay the £60, because i dont want to pay the £100. I didnt want it to go to POPLA as then i lose my chance of paying the 'discounted' £60.
But now I understand that I have more of a chance of winning through the template letter. However, I understand also that this will get rejected. They will be annoyed/irritated at me asking them to send all the evidence stated, that they will just reject it. So then it will got to POPLA. This is what I'm worried about, as I don't want to lose my chance of paying the £60, if I'm having to pay.
In the template, it says they need to provide actual images of my car - they already have?
What the PCN doesn't state is how long I'd paid to park, but I'm assuming they have this information logged on their system?
Thank you for your help so far.

So is it likely my 1st appeal will get rejected using this template?
And then when i appeal to popla, is that when I add in the details of the cleaning up sick situation I had?
You then go on to win this at PoPLA but not using your mitigating circumstances.
(Surely if someone saw I was just 13mins late and had a tonne of vomit to clean up and a toddler to comfort and change, if they had a heart they'd waive it... )
And of course, yes, you are right... if they had a heart they'd waive it.
The have no heart. All they see is money. They are not going to give up the opportunity to help themselves to your hard earned.
Sorry, it's harsh. But the reality is they want your money. You will need to fight them. Send off you initial appeal and then look at that NEWBIES post I mentioned.
I'm going to get this sorted today and send off an appeal. I'm just having some concerns about the template and my case, as stated in my comment above to coupon-mad.
I really didn't need this, it's causing me so much stress. It's all I've been thinking about/reading about since Wednesday. I only have til Tuesday and my 14 days is up.0 -
Use the template as is.
You won't be paying a penny even if you try POPLA and lose, so stop comparing £60 with £100. It's irrelevant.
Remind us why PLAN A didn't work?
The managing agents of the car park can cancel this for you next week; dead easy. Better than appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was a private carpark near a beach, with a park opposite (we went to the park). If not Carparkers, I'm not sure who the managing agent would be?

You must understand that the £40 bribe discount is just an incentive to get low hanging fruit on the gullible tree to capitulate and pay up without making life difficult for them. Whilst it is always going to be a decision you have to make for yourself and with the current financial climate a factor for many victims, you should include all the good advice you get from this forum before making that decision.1

I did find a contact number for the carpark next door as it was county council (didn't realise at the time this wasn't the carpark I was in). He confirmed I hadn't parked in their carpark, but said he'd have let me off if I had of been.
He also then messaged me this:
'I have found a photo of their info board but unfortunately there are no phone numbers, just a data protection policy email address and their website.I'm really sorry that I can't help you and hope you manage to get something sorted with them'.0 -

There is a carpark either side of it, one is Clink road long stay car park which is council run. The other one is a fish and chip ship run carpark.
The 1 I was in I don't have a clue who owns it and i can't find it anywhere.
So cannot do 'Plan A'.0
