Everyone gets letters like that. Highly amusing rubbish. You will get a whole chain of that dross: one per month.

  • The ironic thing, the director of carparkers is also the director of the chain of stores called mattress man, a company that prides theirselves on knowledge, experience and customer service. Surprising then his other company employs such aggressive tactics to scam people out of money.

Well there are six directors of Matressman
But only Andrew Kerry is director of CarParkers so a one man band.
  • Hi OP, just wondering if you have an update on your case? I stumbled on this thread as I got a PCN for the same car park!

I was meant to pickup my wife and children on the road by the carpark but they were late, and phone signal is terrible there so I pulled into the car park to sit and wait for 16 minutes (according to the PCN), so didn’t buy a ticket.

I’m not proud to say I think I’m going to pay the £60. I admire you for fighting it but given the stress it’s caused you and the complexity of the process to lay people, I will be the low hanging fruit on this occasion.

I really hope you’ve had some good news, you definitely deserve it. Also I need some closure after a very exciting thread!

I don't think you will after you've thought more about it. That would be sponsoring the scam and funding the next few PCNs.

I sincerely hope you won't? There's no need.  Nothing scary or bad happens.

Thank you sooo much to all of you for your support. Coupon-Mad, you stayed with me throughout. Thank you. I had a text to say my fee was now £0. So they obviously decided to give up. Thank you for saving me £60/£100!

So sorry for not replying sooner!
They did cancel my charge! I had a text through saying payment received and my balance was £0. So yay! But it was like 4 months of stress. But I'm glad I didn't pay it!
