CoG I agree about tradespeople. I am sorry your car cost so much, but I’m pleased your parcel arrive safe and well. I did mention my experience with the GP, nothing will change though….
I just know for sure tomorrow if the mortgage is all finally approved by the underwriter so vibes would be appreciated. I’m planning a properly full day at home tomorrow reading, resting and recharging. Whether that will happen in practice or not who knows! Sleep well lovelies xx7 -
I didn't achieve as much as I had hoped today 😕 No reason really - just procrastinating as usual 🙄
I did manage to go to bnq for the strimmer line & Sandpaper. They didn't have the cable clips, so I have just ordered them online.
SW visited - put on 1lb 🙄 Slinky is not going well! I made some leek & potato soup, so that is tomorrow's lunch sorted at least.
DW put on. 1 load of washing done & dried. I also washed half of the vinyl in the back room and the skirting in the same area (I can only get to half of the room at the moment. I need to paint the woodwork in the morning, after prepping it.
Tomorrow is another day, and I will try harder!
Alarm is turned off 👍 Sleep well peeps.7 -
Lots of hugs and good vibes to.....well a lot of you really.
Today's assessment turned out to be somewhat of a 'perfect storm' with a lot of unrelated problems.......student sent info forms in wrong format so I couldn't easily print them (knock-on effect I would have sent her to the optometrist prior to the assessment but she didn't send the right format back until yesterday so they hadn't reached me); I noticed vague info about a previous assessment on one form which I'd emailed both admin and manager about, twice (admin are in turmoil with various members long-term sick and workload borne by one recently-back-from-bereavement- leave part-timer and various well-meaning, pleasant junior staff who know nothing about the systems; manager - I discovered today - in on annual leave). 10 mins before I left home (having cancelled Body Pump yesterday as student requested an earlier assessment owing to a sudden medical appointment), the PT admin (who is good and knows all the systems) delved into the archive and sent me the student's previous assessment - which, IF I'd received it sooner and IF manager wasn't away, would probably have led to the assessment being cancelled. Printing off said form before I left, the printer jammed. Then really flooded/rainy journey. I did what I could; lovely student; and will 'see' her again via Zoom on Friday for further discussion.
Did a gym swim on the way home.
A lot of flying done - and not by me, but the wonderful Mr N who has clearly suffered withdrawal symptoms after being away....so he'd been to Mr A, vacuumed downstairs, washed up, swept and mopped kitchen floor. Sorry to gloat, I'm just lucky.
Using some of my tax return and a free hotel night from h0te1.com (via topcashback of course) to book 2 shows and 2 nights in London in March. I know we live fairly close, but having been treated last year for my birthday with 2 nights (in an admittedly far costlier hotel than the one we've picked this time) in London, we really relished not having to scramble about to get the last train home. I told Mr N not to get me a birthday present in April as this will be a treat weekend.
I'm just putting together paperwork for tomorrow's student - which arrived this morning as admin had forgotten to send it....fortunately she doesn't look too complicated. I've got a couple of weeks doing 2 assessments per week to help catch up the backlog caused by all the admin absence.
Hope the rest of the week goes well for you all.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
@Asparklierblonde sackloads of good vibes coming your way. I hope you have a restful day tomorrow. After working my socks off all day today I hope I can do a bit less tomorrow too.@Goodintentions try not to dwell on it. Tomorrow is another day, as you say.Made supper and then washed up. Did another lot of eye drops. A tells me he wants to try again and do them himself. That would be good but it didn't go well last time as his balance problems and tremor scuppered it. At the last eye appointment at the hospital the consultant mentioned some sort of dropper that would make it easier but then she didn't mention it again and we forgot to ask her for the details. He has another appointment next week so I will try hard to remember to ask what it is and where we get one.A has been fretting about his cholesterol. It's not that bad and his good/bad ratio is fine. I've spent quite a bit of today trying to reassure him and I think he is, finally. I'll be glad when he's had the telecon with the consultant on Friday to discuss it. I'm more concerned about the results of his hip and shoulder x-rays.Put out A's breakfast things and did the pre-bed eye routine and now I'm listening to Alison Moyet and thinking that I should already be in bed. Late night is the only time I get to myself and with no interruptions from anyone though.7

Morning all
It has been pouring with rain again in the night. It’s stopped now but the mud and grey skies remain. Roll on spring!Thank you for the vibes, hopefully I will be able to report a positive outcome later! Currently enjoying a cuppa in bed then I need to do an online Asda shop of basics for next week. The temperature is set to drop so I’ll bring in some coal and kindling too.DD is still fast asleep, she has to take 4 antibiotics per day for 7 days, I hope it doesn’t impact her like they do me with thrush (sorry tmi!!)
Have fab days all xx6 -
Morning all
im at home today but taking the aged ps to the day centre after lunch. They are both going but dad will go to a carers’ group while mum goes into the dementia group. The aim is that she has a day there each week to give dad a break, but she is being very resistant to that. He needs a break but getting her t away from him is hard, as she wants to be with him and, of course, doesn’t realise he has needs too. I’m dreading something happening to him…she’s going to be very unhappy but it will be a residential home as she needs care, not that she accepts that.
Ive also got my optician appointment this afternoon and i’m going out with the chemical staff later, from the days i worked on the Refinery.
I boiled up the chicken carcass so i’ll make soup later. Recycling bins are out .
CoG…would it not make sense to have a small notebook for A’s appointments?
ASB…mortgage vibes.
Lots of sick people…fingers crossed
