Good morning 😁
Round you have got this! 💪
Hair cut this morning (of course - look at the weather!!)
I will then crack on with cleaning the floor & skirting boards in the DR. I may even chuck some paint around! I need to go to bnq for some strimmer line, so I may pick up some more sandpaper.
SW tonight.....to see how much weight I have put on 🙄🤦♀️
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Have a good day everyone8 -
Finally got everyone to school at 9:20 after Squeaks bus turned up 30 minutes late and rammed to the rafters.. I am really tired today.. I may have used todays spoons in clearing the bedroom yesterday. Twinkle had the gall to say the room was too tidy at bed time!!
Off to find food because I am ravenous this morning.. and make a cuppa.. take the drugs and finish Harpers cardigan and start another.. I am in too much pain to do anything in the girls room today.. thanks weather!

Afternoon all (only just). I hope your morning has gone smoothly, round. I'm very sorry to hear P's distressing news and hope that he can enjoy a better quality of life again soon. Love to all of you, including S and your DS and his DF xxxxx
Pigpen, I had to laugh at Twinkle's comment!
Kaz, I hate my smart meter too and try not to look at it. It doesn't make any difference to how much energy I use, it just makes me feel guilty about having to keep warm and dry the laundry in the TD because it's so difficult for me to hang it out and I don't want a damp house.
I was in the WAC at 3am with arthritic pain in my hands and shoulder, which eased somewhat when the downpour began - weird or what! Eventually I went back to sleep for about 2 hours, but it's been another slow start to the day. Yesterday I followed Jazee into migraine land and achieved almost nothing after 11am, so am hoping that today will be better.
I have done the dailies and been out for a bitty shop - a bit here, a bit there, but it should be enough to see us through to the end of the month, with enough left in the budget to treat DS2&Co to a Chinese or fish'n'chips while we're staying with them. I also remembered to buy strong coffee for the coffee cakes that I shall be baking on Friday/Saturday, and at the same time will use up most of the remaining Christmas dried fruit on vegan fruit cakes for my DDiL1 and Liz the dog walker, plus another to put in the freezer. And I dropped off a bagful of books and CDs at the CS, and soft plastic at the C00p. J the gardener is coming this afternoon - I shall leave him to trimming back and tidying round (it's not lawn mowing weather!) while I take Rosie out before the rain returns.
Lunch is next on the list. Will catch up with you all later xxx

Hi ladies
The lay in didn’t happen, this morning hasn’t gone as planned! DD’s ear swelled up and has a huge lump at the back, called the dr and they finally agreed to give me a phone appointment (begrudgingly), then the Dr rang back 5 mins later to say I want to see her NOW!
It’s badly infected and she has a 7 day course of antibiotics. She’s been very brave. I also took pup for a meet and greet with a lady whose house he is staying at when we go away at Easter. Collected my meds, DS hoodie from the sewing repair lady, and we’ve just had lunch. I’m wiped out so a lazy afternoon is on the cards. Hardly any logs left but we’ll have to manage with coal as I am absolutely skint until payday.
Round I have no words. Sending you all my love and support xxx7 -
GWS to your DD, ASB. Nice to hear of a Dr who overrides his receptionist and puts the patient first!
Lunch has been scoffed. J is trimming back the winter flowering clematis, now that it's almost over, and clearing the gutters that it has taken over. I'm about to go out with Rosie - we shall be dodging showers and puddles.

Afternoon all. Hugs to all who need them.@roundtuit I hope that work isn't as bad as you expect. Be strong.@Asparklierblonde well done on persevering. Did yo mention to the GP the struggle you had to get an appointment? Probably you didn't have the time for that and the main focus was on DD's treatment. There is something for the practice to learn there though.I've been flying supersonic today. After getting up and dressed I did the first eye drops, then the car was returned after its service (£750
, including a new tyre which we are having fitted separately as the dealership wanted to charge £50 more than KwikFit). After I'd waved goodbye to the man who brought the car back I popped to the shop for a paper and came back up. The managing agent sent someone yesterday to do a couple jobs in the main entrance hall, including looking at a handrail which was loose. He moved it slightly which included drilling into the wall. When I went out I saw that he has left plaster dust all over the steps beneath it. Why do so many tradespeople no longer clear up after themselves? A good tradesperson takes pride in their work and that include leaving the site clean and tidy. The person we mainly use in our flat always does but the ones the MA gets often seem, to some degree, to leave a mess.
Then the shirts came back from the laundry and I put those away. I then thoroughly cleaned the bathroom, made lunch, did a mountain of washing up (I did some of the washing up last night but didn't finish for some reason and then after doing the night time eye routine I fell asleep in the chair and didn't wake up until 01.30 by which time I didn't have the energy to do it.). I then gave the kitchen a fairly thorough clean, including bleaching the sink and washing-up pad. I've been waiting for the floor to dry, which it now has, so I can put everything back. Then it's on to the vaccing and maybe a bit of ironing. In other news, the card and present finally arrived.7 -
Thank you for all your kind words.xx
I'm home. Changed into my scruffs. And made myself a coffee.
This afternoon I phoned S to see how they both were. Reeling I think is the word. S asked me to make my usual therapeutic visit on Sunday. So I offered to stamp on P's feet to take his mind off everything else. I know. I'm weird. But S said she won't tell P then it'll be a surprise. So I cheered her up a bit.
Work was 'quiet after the storm' and uneventful. I'm glad I took a big breath and went. I had a long chat with my supervisor- said 'I know the past year hasn't been great but we always used to get on can we start from there.' Because in trying to be all things to all people I've lost myself. She understood exactly what I meant. I think maybe she's lost her way a bit too.
Learning curves- steep ones- are being assimilated. Driving home I thought 'now all the poison is out in the open air maybe we can start to heal' Bit profound that!
Ermmmm. Flying? Ermmmm. I've unpacked my lunch bag and rinsed my drinks can ready for recycling. I'm not putting out the bin and recycling boxes for emptying tomorrow as they're not even half full.
I'm so glad that I have you guys in my life. You don't know how much you mean to me.
Love to all.
Rxx

Round - so often the things we fear turn out not to be so frightening after all. Your approach with your supervisor was sensible and mature, and it sounds as if she responded positively to that. I"m sure that things will be better now you've lanced the boil, so to speak.6

After the kitchen floor had dried I put everything back, gave A his eye drops, and started on the hoovering. I have a cordless 'stick' vacuum and for a while it hasn't been picking up properly and has been a bit of an anti-vacuum really as it drops back on the floor nearly as much as it picks up.
I've been too lazy to take it apart and investigate but today I finally did. I de-fluffed the brush section but it still wasn't working properly so I looked through one end of the long pipe bit and I couldn't see right through.
I used the long thin handle of a feather duster to poke through and dislodge whatever was there. It took quite a few attempts to get it all out and I kept thinking, how much more can there be in here, when suddenly a whole lot of Christmas tree needles wrapped in fluff came out and bingo, I could see from one end of the tube to the other. I put it back together and from then on it worked fine.I tidied a few things in the sitting room then vacc'd it, and the hall, and then took a bag of rubbish and a bag of recycling down, gave A more eye drops, and then ironed two pairs of trousers and two of A's shirts that I hadn't sent to the laundry. I've just toasted some almonds and will shortly prepare our supper.6
