Not heard how P got on yet. But if they visit D while they're at the hospital they're probably not home yet.
Rxxthey're not here.. lol..YORKSHIRELASS said:
DH has taken DS for his colonoscopy so I didn't have to miss this chance to spend time with my brother, I am trying hard not to feel guilty about that.
he is just as much his parent as you are.. I do think we forget this because we do feel we must do it all.. it is ok to let dad go and you do something for you!You are there for everything.. and they likely won't give him any information anyway it is just a test no doubt..
Girls room vacuumed.. I made them put away their own rubbish.. it almost looks like a functional room!
OH sent off to collect a replacement bike for DIL.. hers was stolen a couple of weeks ago and she absolutely loved it.. but this will get her to work and home much more affordably than taxis! I will pop it up the street to the bike shop so it can be serviced to make sure it is all safe and functioning.

Evening all .... I'm in this week, but still getting to grips to remember to post ... that ... and actually do anything! We're mid-February and I just feel that this year is disappearing already ....Let's have a positive look (I have done "some" things, and definitely because they've been mentioned, but still nowhere near enough for my own liking ... )
Magnificent Monday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
Level One...
Check fire alarms are working - DH checked monoxide was working last week, don't have a smoke alarm on the landing.
Fling open that window and blow those cobwebs out!! Air the room!!! Nothing worse than a bedroom smelling of parps!
Remove and wash bed linen
Level Two...
30 minutes floor clearance.. that includes floordrobe and junk! - In fairness, nothing on floor
Level Three...
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs...#Extra Mission
- Clean windows in these rooms
- Wipe down the skirting in the bedroom and on the landing
Twinkling Tuesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One...
Clean floors in these rooms - bathroom
Air the room.. fling open the windows and let in the springy air!! I don't care if it is 13' below!! lol - FAILED - tried to open window, couldn't ... and given how fragile it is, didn't want to try too hard. Will ask DH to look at that, at the weekend.Level Two…
Clean baths/shower, toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks
Clear any clutter from desk - not a hope, since being made redundant, my desk is not so much my desk, currently is a seed sowing station!
Level Three...
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc whatever needs cleaning.
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Collect any stray laundry from upstairs.
Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt:- shine the mirrors

today ihave
pegged out 3 washload, ironed what needed it, folded most of it… the wind blew creases out anyway…perfect!
Been shopping…spotted it’s greek week in L1dl, but gutted that the tzatziki (which I adore) was all gone. Bough tzatziki flavoured crisps…and i don’t eat lots of crisps and only plain and salt’n’vinegar…so that’ll be interesting.
Watched Sort Your Life Out…she recommended AnWs dot-to-dot method! Didn’t call it that, though.
3 doors reattached. much paperwork flingage…lots of leaflets about post cancer support of various types but it’s not for me…so i have flung them. Feels very liberating actually…having the information was giving me twingescof guilt.
No machines locked and loaded…p not enough pots for DW and nowhere near enough laundry for a load…go me!

Can't recall if I mentioned.. I chased Squeaks ADHD assessment.. she had been forgotten and I emailed Sunday afternoon, got a reply at 10pm Sunday evening.. ball rolling with the assessment centre Monday morning.. we should have her diagnosis in the next 8-12 weeks.. they have the outreach team from the autism unit going to school on the 12th and we should have EHCP in the next couple of weeks.finished Harpers cardigan, just have 1 sleeve to sew up and 3 more buttongs to sew on but I am off to my nest. I will start another one for her tomorrow but a different pattern, this one is lovely but fa too fiddly for my tired brain to knit a second one. I am looking at a shell pattern matinee style I think.. Then I'm doing Beanie another couple.. then I want to start on the arans for summer.
Fresh orange and cocoa for the WAC to go with bickies and cake.
I want to sort the first trofast unit in the girls room tomorrow.. I am fed up of toys, they need to go.

Morning peeps xx
I'm up...although not sure which way actually is up at the moment, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
Had a phone call from P at 7.30 ish. The 3.30pm appointment meant they were called in at gone 5pm! He started to tell me but had to drop the call as S was 'weeping'. So all I know is he has a defective gene in his bone marrow, requires mild chemotherapy over a period of months to find the correct dose, 1 in 10 chance of developing leukaemia over the next 10 to 20 years. And S is crying. And it's nothing to do with the anaemia or faulty aortic valve. (From being healthy for the first 72 years he's made up for it in the last three months!)
That, on top of yesterday's shenanigans, has not been good for my 'nerves'. The last thing I want to do is return to Toxic Towers this morning but I have bills to pay and mithering at home won't sort anything so I'm going.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I go.
