Morning all.
Thinking of you, round, and hoping that the carpet stays clean. Prayers/posivibes for P, D and D's partner. Glad to hear that your DB is better xxxx
Hope you feel better soon, Jazee x
Thanks to everyone who has been thinking of LC. I got a text from her this morning saying that her surgery had been successful. I might be able visit her on Friday when I go to Action Heart - I doubt that the horse piddle will discharge her before the weekend, but stranger things have happened!
My own appointment with a very nice consultant went well yesterday (but it took until late evening for my eyes to recover from the pupil-dilating drops). I have signed the consent form for the first op and am to expect a date soon - hopefully it will happen before Easter, with the second op at the end of April. And I am currently still fit to drive so we shall be off to stay with DS2 and family this weekend as arranged
Is anybody interested in joining a Flylady meet next Tuesday lunchtime (27th) just south of the M4 near Swindon? There are plans afoot...!!! Please PM me if you want to join us. I am hoping that there will be a northern meet - and maybe an eastern one also - later this year. Midlands/Wales any time!
My plans for today are rather less exotic:
- check kennels availability
- Flydailies
- order meds
- join a medical progress tracker/survey on cataract outcomes
- buy a birthday card and go to the PO for cash to put in it, and deliver a few bits to the nearby CS, before DH goes out to SW
- walk Rosie
- expect delivery of DGS3's birthday present from the jungle
- sort photos }
- cook } repeat as time allows
- eat }
See you later, friends xxx6 -

just put the last door back on the landing cupboard. you can also see DD’s bedroom door; these have been fitted primed so need a topcoat. I’ve had a professional in to quote for decorating the hall, stairs and landing including the door frames and skirting. I need to tweak the hinges so just going on you tube to see which screws adjust in which direction. Trouble is I struggle with this kind of thing as i am cross lateral.

Looking good Valli.
Still headachy here and dosed up but I've kept on going. Sofa covers and bedding changed. Washing machine currently on load two four. Duster kind of flicked round bedroom. Admin up to date. Poppet walked and I popped back out afterwards to buy her a new dog bed as we saw a lovely one in the local pet shop while walking. She's not been in it though, preferring the rug.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
1.5 hours upstairs in the girls room.. it is still disgusting.. I have 2 binbags of rubbish, several elpty cardboard boxes, 2 loads of washing and I even opened the window..
I am having a tea break.. I may find food.. and I will see if I can be bothered to sort the remaining mountain in the middle of the floor which is 99% rubbish I am certain.
It WILL look better in there!!! and yes it may well kill me!

First time home me alone after 10 days and I was ready for it. Have spent some time watching TV but also done some clearing up and pottering about. I tend to do a bit where I feel like rather than deep clean a whole room at once though7

(Removed by Forum Team)@valli lemon drizzle cake - yea please! The doors look great btw.@roundtuit I hope that P's appointment went well and that work isn't as bad as you expect.@Jazee I hope you're feeling better now.I've been busy all day but don't seem to have achieved that much. I sat next to A whilst he had his telephone conversation with the practice pharmacist about his cholesterol result and what they might do and possible clashes with hospital meds. In the end she advised him to discuss it with the hospital. He rang them and after a few difficulties and 3 calls he got a phone appointment for Friday.I put on a load of towels on to wash and went down and got the paper and took a bag of recycling down. Came back up and made us a coffee. Before I'd had a chance to drink mine the bell went and it was someone from the dealership who had come to collect the car for servicing. I went down and showed him where the car was. He took a video of the whole of the exterior (a new thing) and went off. It's supposed to be coming back today but we haven't hear anything yet - let's hope they don't find a lot that needs to be done.After that the laundry man came and I went down to check if there was any post and then Waitrose came. I put it all away and put on the first lot TDing. Made lunch and washed up. I then checked online to see if the card and present I'd sent by Special Delivery had arrived - they hadn't. A little later I checked again and to my surprise it said that they had attempted a delivery some 40 minutes earlier but that no one was in. I immediately rang my friend, who knew they were coming, and who said that she had been in all morning and couldn't have failed to hear the door from the room she had been in. The postman had delivered a couple of things about a minute before I rang but not my things, and in any event the supposed failed delivery was timed some 40 minutes earlier.She also said that their gardener had been jet washing the path to the front door when they were supposed to have delivered it . He subsequently confirmed that no one had been, other than the postman who came just before I rang, and that he had simply put some things through the door. Clearly the claim to have attempted a delivery is not true. I sent a complaint but I doubt it will get anywhere as it is my word against there's.I finished the TDing and did another load of washing and am now doing my third load. Have just made A a cup of tea and a pikelet and I've had a couple of biscuits.9

Stop the world. I want to get off....
Not heard how P got on yet. But if they visit D while they're at the hospital they're probably not home yet.
Work was.....horrendous! Not the actual work bit. All the office politics 🙄. I handled it very badly- imagine a pressure cooker explosion! 🌋. But. Big But. I'm hoping no-one will ever confide in me again. In fact some of them may never speak to me again. That's fine. I've tried to be all things to all people for too long. Today I feel that I let myself down, and I let other people down. But I was so tired of hearing all and then having to watch every word I said. Enough. There have been lots of tears and tantrums. And I so wanted to come home midmorning, but I stuck it out. Deputy Big Boss said I'd been put in a very awkward position for too long and not to blame myself. But of course I do. Still no blood was shed. And hopefully things will blow over eventually. In the meantime I need to erect strong boundaries so I never find myself in the same position again.
Anyhoo I'm home. Unpacked my lunch bag. Changed into my scruffs. And I now need to decompress....
Is there any lemon drizzle cake left?

Aww Round that sounds awful, but if the boss says not to blame yourself then don't. Stuff the rest of them, you go there to work not to deal with all this drama, hugs x
Took a lieu day to meet up with my brother and go hiking across the moors. It was cold and blustery and I have a bit of a headache now, I think I probably need some food. I can usually confide in my brother but today the words wouldn't come out right somehow and despite feeling anxious about work, DSs health, DHs health and our finances I pretended it was all OK.
DH has taken DS for his colonoscopy so I didn't have to miss this chance to spend time with my brother, I am trying hard not to feel guilty about that.
I have lit the fire. A load of washing has gone on, but otherwise very little flying has been done. Food next.7
