I turned up my trousers!
I bought them in a sale over a year ago .... and been putting them off since then as they're a flimsy jersey thing ... anyway .... I did it ..... 5" .... no wonder they were in the sale ... my legs aren't short, so I can only assume they were for fat giants !

He writes them on the calendar we have pinned up on the back of the front door so that he see them at a glance and also how they fit in with other things. He's also signed up for Patients Know Best, which is a sort of NHS online health management system where you get all your test results and so on. There is a diary section on there and it shows all your upcoming appointments.Where is @pigpen ?This morning I received a Whatsapp from a friend who lives nearby to go over for a drink one evening next week, which is nice. After getting up and ready I vacc'd the condensation off the windows, then after giving A his eye drops and giving the cleaner of the communal areas a bucket of hot water, I walked to the shops at the end of the road. I got something from the butcher for A's supper tonight and tomorrow and also a couple of things in the greengrocer and the deli. They suggested I try their fried egg crisps; I declined but I might give them a go out of curiosity. I usually only buy plain crisps but I'm curious now.On the way back I bought the paper and then came up and made lunch. After lunch, A had a telephone consultation with a doctor at the hospital but she said that although his total cholesterol is high his 'good' cholesterol has gone up too so he doesn't need to go on anything to lower it. Given all the drama last time he had cholesterol-lowering meds he was pleased about that. His bone density scan was ok too she said. Just the two x-ray results to get now (for the time being anyway).I washed up and then tidied a few things away in the RoD and took some things back to the car which I'd taken out when it went it for a service. The car in front of me had moved so I quickly moved it forward a few inches as I had been really boxed in and didn't want someone else to park in too close in the vacated space.I made tea, washed up, made supper, washed up and then rang my brother. His wife has, among other things, an overactive thyroid and she has been feeling lousy but a bt showed she needed her meds for it increasing so hopefully that will help. She's having radioactive thyroid treatment next month so we hope that that will sort it out for good. After that I put out A's breakfast things and did the pre-bed eye routine and now I can go to bed. Sleep well everyone.

Morning all
Been up with a poorly DD since 4.45. Given that I woke at 3am and listened to Woman’s Hour on my phone for an hour, then nodded back off, I’m pretty tired. She is fast asleep again. I need to drive into town at 7am for more meds as we have run out. She is also hankering after blueberries (nothing new there, she adores them) and fresh OJ so I’ll see what our tired little Morrisons can offer. The fire was still belting away nicely thanks to the bucket of coal I launched on it last night so I’ve chucked a log on too. It’s -5 outside according to my outdoor thermometer, the moon is full and the sky is clear. So much sky, I’d take a photo and upload if I knew how!No idea what today will bring, but needless to say once I’ve nipped into town in an hour we’ll be staying put. I should really do some more life admin.
Have fab days all xx8 -

Morning all.
I hope everyone gets a chance to take even just 15 minutes for themselves today as it is the weekend. Sit down and do nothing, watch telly, do your nails, knit, read, whatever. Put a do not disturb sticker on your forehead to warn off anyone approaching.
It's just me and the dog here until tomorrow night so like ASB I'm planning to make progress with life admin. There, I've written it down here now as well as on the calendar.
Just slurping first cuppa.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8
