after the appeal process completed did you get the incentive ?movingon said:I also had to appeal for RBS. Appeal was upheld. Not yet, as not even received account details which have to come by post. Also, you have to start a switch AFTER setting up online account, so will take a while.1

Other two applications =no hitch.info_maniac said:
For those who appealed - What this recent? (I mean after 15th Feb). Did you have to submit the switch details again over the phone? And, did you manage to receive the £200 switch bonus.MABLE said:It was NatWest and my issue was I had a credit card with them and when I applied the form was pre populated and could only put one address in and no provision for a previous address as I had just moved and that was reason for rejection.movingon said:I also had to appeal for RBS. Also, did the other two account openings/switches go well for you without a hitch. I still have not applied for Ulster and am not sure whether I should wait for some time.
Switch details for RBS cannot be given over the phone to the Special team - must be input yourself later online when you eventually get access1 -
Switch completed Monday, incentive paid today 👍
That's with Ulster, and it's boring I know but they asked again for id to be sent yesterday.1 -
Ulster have also now paid my bonus, so that’s all three and a nice easy £600! 🥳Archerychick said:Two out of three bonuses received so far - Ulster is my last one but that only switched yesterday so wouldn’t expect that for a couple more days yet!4 -
My problem was that when I was traveling, I wanted to withdraw some cash instead of using my card anywhere. Indeed, I wanted to leave my card in the locker in the hotel to make sure it was safe. I'm planning to stay there for 3 weeks. But on my first day, I went to the cash point, and the machine scratched my card chip. After that, I couldn't use the card. I contacted the bank, and they told me that they could mail me a new card. But I've got it after I left. So, I had to cancel that card and ask for a new one again. Gladly, I had friends there who lent me some money.steven141 said:
There is an option of adding your travel plans on the app somewhere. I’ve done it before. I have the Royal Bank credit card which doesn’t charge fees abroad and I’ve used it many times.AnnikaJuarez said:I have an account at NatWest. Well, they aren't that bad. Just be careful using their credit/debit cards abroad if you are a frequent traveler. Had some issues with that in the past.
But this one seems like a good offer.

Does the reward account have a minimum pay in requirement each month? Or just the £2 fee? The MSE page and the NatWest page seem to contradict one another.0

Thanks for the clarification on this. When I couldn't find the "open extra account" type option on TSB or FD I assumed it would mean applying from scratch all over again, multiple times. And that many hard searches can't be good. I have now opened a Chase account and once I've got my card and whatnot I'll make three burner accounts to use, as it seems from this thread that is an easy and effective way of doing it, plus Chase's own site says that opening extra accounts doesn't go down as a hard search.Bridlington1 said:
TSB allow you to open multiple accounts, you have to apply as you would if you are a new customer though, which will create a new online banking profile. Some ``IT wizardry" at their end then merges your profiles within 7 working days or however long it is so you have both accounts showing in both profiles (at least that's how it's meant to work in theory). Note opening a new current account with TSB will result in a hard search even as an existing customer.Ponchos said:I remember Barclays having a feature in app to open a second account (or presuambly as many as you wanted), and when I used this I had a new account opened in about 30 seconds. It seems TSB and First Direct (and I imagine other banks) don't have this feature (if they do then please point me in the right direction) so I'm thinking that Chase may be the way to go as it seems they do have this simple option of opening another account without going through the whole application process over and over again.
Just to confirm that this is actually the case, that multiple account can be opened quickly rather than needing to apply the long way? Also that these extra accounts after the fist don't require you to wait for a debit card and online banking details, they essentially feed of the first account? Thanks.0 -
Apart from the Chase "additional" accounts, the next best option is to open additional accounts with Lloyds or Halifax if you are an existing customer, an additional account can be opened in 3-5 minutes, the only problem is that you have to wait for the debit card to arrive in post. The "view card" option in the app doesn't work for newly opened accounts and by the time it starts working, the debit card arrives in the post.3
