Looking at the RBS terms it only seems to state switch from a non-RBS account so I assume you can transfer from Natwest/Ulster.
Tempted to give it a go once the bonus is paid

I have an existing RBS current account, which i received a switching incentive in Jan 2022.
Do you reckon its worth going for this current bonus on that account again??
In a similar boat but with NatWest. I will have a go - but to a new account, rather than the old/existing/in use one.

Switch completed into my existing Royal Bank account yesterday. I had previously put £1250 in at the start of the switch but no reward paid today. I’m going to put it in again. Switched underway to both NatWest and Ulster Bank completing next week. I’ll wait until each are complete before putting money in.

£200 just came through. Not sure if putting it in again instigated it to pay out or not.

No need to do this, it usually takes 2 working days after the switch completes before the bonus is paid.

Whether you put the £1,250 into NatWest and Ulster during the switch or after doesn't seem to make any difference.

So my rbs switch completes Friday. Is it best to wait until then to deposit, or can I deposit now and withdraw tomorrow evening?

Two out of three bonuses received so far - Ulster is my last one but that only switched yesterday so wouldn’t expect that for a couple more days yet!
  • Weird - applied for Ulster for me and Mrs. She was asked for a memorable name but I wasn’t. I guess it’ll take 2 weeks to open an account if it’s the same as last year!

I remember Barclays having a feature in app to open a second account (or presuambly as many as you wanted), and when I used this I had a new account opened in about 30 seconds. It seems TSB and First Direct (and I imagine other banks) don't have this feature (if they do then please point me in the right direction) so I'm thinking that Chase may be the way to go as it seems they do have this simple option of opening another account without going through the whole application process over and over again.

Just to confirm that this is actually the case, that multiple account can be opened quickly rather than needing to apply the long way? Also that these extra accounts after the fist don't require you to wait for a debit card and online banking details, they essentially feed of the first account? Thanks.

Hi please can somebody help I have opened the RBS account and my switch completes on Thursday. Does the 1250 have to stay in all  at once? Or could I put 600 in then withdraw after 24 hours, then put 650 in and leave for 24 hours? So the 1250 wouldn’t be in altogether at the same time? Hope that makes sense Thanks for any help
