I've never switched before until reading this forum and I have just completed the Nat West offer and received £200.
My main bank account is with First Direct (which I want to keep) But have the following available:
    1) Nat West account just opened (won't use it going forward)
    2) Chase Account (2nd account with them, first was opened and used to transfer to Nat West)

Should I open further Chase Accounts? or use Nat West?.
Could anyone advise what banks I could target next? (and in which order)
you can take lloyds switch offer next
Which account would you recommend to use for switching from

you can setup two direct debits in your natwest account and then switch to lloyds .

You can also set up two x £1 DDs on the switch tracker app/site I saw to do the Lloyds one

I switched from HSBC to NatWest. The switch was completed on Friday the 1st, I transferred £1250 on the Saturday and then withdrew it on Sunday.
I’ve just had the text just now to say the bonus has gone through. Thanks to everyone on here for all the advice!!
    Now onto the next switch!

Is it simply a matter of setting 2 up for £1 to a chase account and how long does it take before i can apply for Lloyds offer
  • Hi all.

    Quick Q re: switching.

Can I switch to RBS, get paid the £200 and then look to close the newly opened account and switch out to another provider offering a similar cash incentive?

    Thanks in advance for replies.

There is nothing to stop you from doing this but I’m not sure if you would be eligible for another offer unless it’s to another banking group brand (i.e. you probably wouldn’t get the incentive at NatWest or Ulster Bank switching from Royal Bank of Scotland but I could be wrong).
  • Hi
First time swapper and wonder if anyone can advise. I was looking to open an additional bank account to use anyway so opened a chase account and added an additional account on to it and used additional chase to open a RBS Account (which I plan to keep and use). Now going forward I was thinking about trying for a full house with Natwest and Ulster and also maybe lloyds. Would it be okay to set up an additional chase and switch that out to Natwest ( I would then keep this also and use for my matched betting account which I use a Nationwide account for at moment) And then use the Nationwide account I have had for years to switch to Ulster. And then swap Ulster to lloyds.
Does this seem okay as do want to keep and then use the RBS and Natwest going forward and worried might close accounts. Or would it be better not to use Nationwide and use another new opened account just in case any issues so still have that.
Sorry for all questions. Totally newbie at this
    Thanks

I have an existing RBS current account, which i received a switching incentive in Jan 2022.
Do you reckon its worth going for this current bonus on that account again??

You can try but I haven't seen any evidence on here from anyone who has managed to do this. I think it's unlikely you'd get another incentive, maybe you'll be the first?  ;)
