@jefaz07 congrats! did you transfer the £1250 before the switch date or after the switch date?
Both. I transferred 2k as soon as it was open then read on here it might be after the switch. So took it out day before the switch then re deposited switch day. So I’m not sure which bit activated it.
It was more info that I had a NatWest incentive last year. And RBS this time.
thanks for the update ..did you do only RBS this time or ulster as well ?

    They've paid quickly then!
Thanks for the info - good to see updates...and good for people who have previous switches with any of the 3 banks.
I have a switch due 28th (Natwest) and 29th (RBS). Both switching from extra chase accounts, not had incentive from either before. I will update if i get the payment(s).

  • Hi everyone! I just opened a second Chase current account and I'm using this to switch to RBS. On the process of the application/switch, RBS is asking if I have a debit card. If I put the debit card number that is within the app, will it cancel that direct debit and hence my main Chase account won't have a debit card?
You can enter the debit card number along with the account details. It will stay attached to the first Chase account.

    Cheers
I was too eager and was not sure so I decided to just click no debit card :( hopefully that won't be an issue. I have successfully created my RBS account now so just waiting for that another email saying the switch is starting

The plot thickens with my application with Ulster.
Gave up at the point of them wanting photo id, as explained earlier I can't provide it, old style licence, no passport. They asked 3 times to upload them, I ignored them.
So over the last few days I get, please sign  this form and return we'll get your account number/sort code sent. I've also been sent a customer number and a, "welcome to Ulster Bank" your account is set up, and an activation code and is on its way. Your card and pin will follow shortly.🤔
Oh and by text this morning, your switch will complete by 27th February.
It's all going through without proof of photo id.
Hey, how long did your application take? I did my switch on the 22nd and the most recent email I had with Ulster was that they've processed my documents. I know it was the weekend so I might just being impatient lol
