I've been very busy but, so far, it's all bitty little jobs which, eventually, will make a difference. I've ironed so can put the ironing board and iron away. I've lifted the spare bed mattress, found the missing screw and vacuumed under there, I also vacuumed up the stairs and unwrapped my clingfilmed paint brush to cover some marks on my bedroom skirting made when the carpet was fitted...and whilst I was down there realised that the door bar carpet edge things (which no doubt have a proper name) still had some plastic on. They haven't now. I have put pictures on the two shoe boxes which needed them (my shoes are all boxed so having a photo of the contents on the box makes them easier to find). There are some I probably can no longer wear but I'm not ready to let go of them yet. I've WUALTD and the cat pots are in soaking. And it is unseasonably warm and I have windows open and am in a t-shirt - albeit long sleeved but still...IT'S FEBRUARY! Stairs have been vacuumed going up - coming down it will be with the crevice tool for the edges.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Hello all.
So far today - dog walk, work shift, dry clothes put away, dailies done, all bins emptied and put out for collection, banking checked, quick hoover through, kitchen sink cleaned....again.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Pops in - it is fairly warm here but VERY wet (what's new!!) and I have the kitchen stove lit.
Hugs to all, back to paid stuff x7 -
dinner scoffed. shed peered under, padlock spotted and retrieved.
Toots job partly done. Mysterious keys in key drawer flung. The complete Toots job is to empty and sort that drawer.
Bin upside down to dry out.
SC away, mixer away. DDs new coffee gadgets now have a home in a cupboard…all prep for cleaning the kitchen which is, tbh, desperate. Just having a post-lunch rest to gather spoons.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Asparklierblonde said:Hi ladies
- finally trying to sort out finance stuff with ex. I know it should have been done ages ago, but as you all know I barely have a minute to use the loo. Big phone call with mortgage people later this week to ‘prove’ I can afford it on my own - I’ve been paying it on my own for ages now, so if their computer says no I’ll be very upset!
I had the deeds of the property transferred to my name solely.. yet the mortgage remains in mine and the ex's name.. he has no legal claim over my house.. BUT.. if I stop paying the mortgage he is jointly eligible for paying it. He hasn't paid a bean since April 2009. There was around £10k equity in the house when he left and that was 'repaid' by me not claiming on his pension and him not paying maintenance for 18 months. There is precedent so you can go armed with this info if you want. He was also able to get another mortgage to buy a house (his is with Halifax) I just wrote a letter saying he was not part owner in my house despite being named on the mortgage.
All mine asked for a bank statement showing the mortgage payments leaving my account every month.
It cost me £400 to transfer the deeds and I am trying to summon the energy to do a transfer of equity with the mortgage company but that costs £1200 I don't have. There is around 9 years left on my mortgage now so it doesn't seem worth it.
CoG .. it is just a cold but I have low immunity and everything takes a while to shift.. I have lost my voice as of yesterday. This morning I managed a shower, it then took me an hour to get dressed!!

Hi all
Blimey lots going OK. ASB i have to shift some borrowing from one place to another too and I have been putting it off because I am scared the lender might say no, even though it's been approved in principle. We have also been through the unsuitable friend thing too. Hugs x
Work has slowly improved but I had a rant at one of the bosses today then immediately wished that I hadn't because she wasn't sympathetic and I think I said too much. Sigh. At least it's Friday tomorrow and I can do a shorter day.
Laundry over the airer, it's raining - again. House is fairly clean and tidy but I will fly a little tomorrow.

Today has been minorly productive in an odd kind of way:
Shower hair trap - degunked within an inch of it's life
Bathroom cleaned
Washing rescued from the line, mostly dried
Random schizzle which DH has been leaving around the kitchen, got put outside with a firm WhatsApp for him to relocate it .... it's been relocated, albeit whilst having read said missive, he ignored it, so it got wet ... not my problem!
More importantly .... more onion seedlings got potted on / strawberry runners transplanted and the first bed of green manure dug over .... and a long bath to recover (which having cleaned said bath first thing, made life simpler!)
This evening, dinner is on, and I've put on a chilli to cook for another night .. taking it for the win

well..I cleaned the kitchen full level 3 job, then had a break then cleaned the bathroom. used the mop bucket to swill out the black bin, too. Tea was the cottage pie I made last week, with broccoli but as it was cooking Pa phoned, he was too ill to make mum tea…banging headache. went up after I ate, made her a sandwich, she was too agitated to eat, really, (an affliction I never suffer from, unfortunately) and i sent him to bed to lie down and rest, took mum to mine to see painter/decorator, she was not happy in case he fell down the stairs…but we were back as hers within 40 minutes and i’ve been with her most of the evening. Pa is worried in case he has another seizure but I think the rest has done him good. I’ll ring first thing. She’s been talking gibberish and asking if I rember the evacuees they had in the war…surprisingly I don’t. 🤣
WM and DW locked and loaded.
It’ll be kids/guest/spare room tomorrow. Too tired now…
