Evening ladies
Thank you so much for the kind thoughts. Subject to a couple of outstanding bits of admin that will be sorted next week, it went well and the ball is well and truly rolling💪💪💪😊😊😊😊. It’s exactly the same as what you experienced Piggers, so thank you xx
Around that I did paid stuff, two loads of washing, chatted to the chimney sweep who did both chimneys, chatted to the man with a van who I paid to take a load of rubbish away that I simply cannot transport to the tip, paid both of those people, collected DD from school and treated her to a hot chocolate, dropped shoes at cobblers, dropped DS hoody at the sewing alterations shop, cooked tea, …. And now I’m in bed with my book. Oooh I also booked an electrician to tidy up the mess of the external earth wire next week.DS rang, he’s away with his dad, he’s having a nice time but he’s missing home like mad. Just like me, he much prefers being at home and loves his routine and creature comforts. I miss him too lots but want him to have new experiences and fun.
New Lisa Jewell at the ready, sleep well all xx6 -
Here is what should be a taster of 3 photos. It's the first time I've set up a Flickr album so I hope it works: https://www.flickr.com/gp/200151982@N08/LH4xzs9c53flamingo747 said:
@Narc0lepsy how awful about the camera
Mr Flamingo is also an avid photographer and he'd be devastated. Great idea on the SD cards, will make sure to do this when we go to Munich in October. Can we see any of Mr N's pics? I bet they're lovely, and you must be glad to have him home
This morning I did a fairly good fly round the kitchen; got myself in a bit of a "green anxiety" when I realised I was using hot water to wash up plastic for recycling.......... anyway washing up was done, surfaces wiped, appliances wiped, floor swept.
Went to Body Step.
Printed off the next few assessments. None look easy.
Sewed up another pair of gloves so that's 2 pairs to give to the waterways chaplain on Sunday.
ASB I hope your day wasn't too stressful, you're doing a great job.

ASB, that is great news! I am very happy for you, and it sounds like a big weight is off your mind. You certainly are a strong woman

Narc0, please tell MrN I think they're great pics - and well done you on getting to grips with Flickr
I am a technophobe wimp and do my level best not to have to try new things like that.
We got to Cathedral City at about 11.30, but DH didn't join us because he couldn't find a parking space anywhere (anywhere near enough to the cathedral for him to want to walk there, that is), so I copped the bill for lunch for me, K and the girls - my February budget has taken a hit! (It was a very nice lunch, though.) We were home by 4.30. For tea I fed them pork with paprika and pasta, which had stewed nicely all day in the SC and also went down very well. K helped me make up mine and DH's beds with fresh bedlinen. Once we'd eaten, they didn't stay late, and I fell asleep on the sofa for most of the evening, absolutely shattered again, only waking up to play with Rosie when she asked. I shall be off to bed shortly, as soon as I have hung up the damp washing on the airers in the bathroom - I've done a marathon 7 loads in 2 days
This winter DH bought himself a knee-length double-thickness fleece hoody because he always feels cold in the house (I just wrap myself in a rug if I'm sitting still), and that is so thick and heavy that it's a full load on its own.
So I'll say goodnight and wish you all pleasant dreams xxx

well today didn’t go to plan, though i did clean bedroom windows and sill and changed bed. i had to pop to work for 2 hours, then was stuck there for an hour until i felt i could be away from the loo. 3 loperamide and tummy still not happy.
But otherwise a good day. in my old job i would be writing myself a half term list and meeting myself coming back. There is very little I miss…
WM and DW primed. washing on line almost dry, mostly towels so i’m pleased about that.
Excelkent ASB. somehow the imagined outcome is so often worse than the reality. I fought to stay here. first time i came here i loved it…that was to visit the previous owner, about 4 years before it went on the market.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I hope your tummy is happier today Valli xx
Iona - I would have been exhausted after all that too! Your dinner sounds delicious by the way xxx
Narco - just stunning. I hope he’s had a super time xx
Half term here and the start of a week’s annual
leave so naturally I am awake at 4am! Have already had a cuppa, crumpet and tidied a couple of things away.
Today is my only day on my own (well, after I drop DD at her grandmas). I intend to light the fire, snuggle down with my book and have a chilled afternoon. I was tempted to go into town for a mooch in the charity shops but I don’t need anything. I also want to spend some time planning this year - sounds arbitrary, but now I have the plan from yesterday it makes me feel motivated to write a list.Dry stone Waller coming at 8am today, part of one of my walls came down a few months ago, it’s a two day job to sort it. Wallers are NOT cheap but I have saved for it and it will look much better.
Other small job is to order a rotary washing line (finally), shall I just go cheap and cheerful? It will be tidied away into the workshop each night.Have fab days all xx6 -
morning all
great pics Narco…
Tummy much better today. will consult the in house dietitian later to see what the trigger might have been. But the lunch i had was one i’ve had before without issue and the reactions are fairly quick normally.
so today i’m hoping to get the cupboard doors on and shift the painting clutter, clean my bedroom and enjoy the weekend. I shall mostly be watching Trigger Point s2
weve just taken DD’s car down for an MoT so she’ll need taking to pick it up later.

Hallooooo xx
I managed to stay awake til 11pm and slept through the night - so hopefully I'm getting back into a decent sleep pattern 🤞
I'm up, made my bed, opened my bedroom window, opened my bathroom window (it's very mild this morning), brought down the laundry hamper, supped a brew, completed Wordle and Connections, and texted L to wish her husband a happy birthday 🎂
Brew 2 and breakfast next. Then I'll be back with a Round.
Wishing you all a good day.

Morning all,
I’ve been awol all week, I won’t bore you, nothing more serious than a complete lack of any ooomph. We have had a spate of burglaries in the village this week, which has also been disconcerting, as our security light was triggered at about the same time as they were reported to be around. I have just caught up for the week, so I hope all poorlies are beginning to recover. Beautiful photos, Narc0. ASB, very well done x And I have put a Hold on the same book at the library, so will catch up with you in about 6 weeks or so.
I need to get my wotsit together this weekend. I have just been to inspect my seedling babies in the DR, and something has enjoyed a good munch of all the tiny new leaves. Another resounding success in the vegetable growing, and so much earlier in the season than I usually manage it.Onwards, if not upwards. I need a list. And a kick up the backside, if anyone can assist.
Have a good day, hugs to all x4 -
