@Honey_Bear sorry to hear about your health problems but great that you've been feeling so much better today. Hope you can soon get it all sorted out once and for all.@YORKSHIRELASS I know what you mean. We haven't had a proper holiday for 7 years and the last time we went away at all was a weekend in St Albans in 2019. A's never been one for going away much, and in the past I often went away with a friend, and then the pandemic put paid to holidays and then A's health declined and now he can't face the hassle of going anywhere, not even overnight. Also he likes to be at home were he knows where everything is and knows how to move around and has worked out how to support himself in the bathroom for instance; plus he sleeps quite a bit during the day. I've got used to it really as going to France, say, seems about as likely as going to the moon. Not much flying today either. I went to the 08.30 service and then called in at the bakery and bought a couple of cheese straws and a pain au chocolat for A. Came home and read the paper (I usually flick through 4 or 5 just before I throw them away, so quite a luxury to read on the day it was published
). I then took a bag of rubbish down and moved the car to the other side of the road as where it was parked the residents' parking is going to be suspended tomorrow for 'gully cleaning'. After that I watched a few episodes of Four in a Bed that I'd recorded (
), fast forwarding through the endless recaps and the adverts and then made lunch.
After lunch whilst A was watching Fiddler on the Roof I washed up, watered some plants, and rang a friend. A gave up on the last half hour of Fiddler as it was 3 hours long and he'd got fed up of it. I accompanied on his stair exercises then rang my brother, made tea, washed up, made supper washed up and did the 5th lot of eye drops. I put out A's breakfast things and I'm now about to finish the evening eye meds routine and then I can go to bed.6 -
