Morning ladies
Grey and damp again here. I have fed the chickens, dogs and sheep, plus tidied up a few armfuls of weeds. Dry stone Waller is here again, we discussed another couple of things that he is going to help me with.I left DDs school shirts soaking in glow white overnight so they are now in to wash. I am doing a 6.5 hour shift at the pub today - whilst I would love to relax at home, the money will cover half term food so needs must. Also I get a delicious Sunday dinner plates up to bring home for my tea 😊
I started watching ‘Maid’ on Netflix last night, it was really good. Will continue tonight.
I need another cuppa, have fab days all xx7 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, brought down the bedroom clock so I'll remember to change the battery, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped a brew.
S has texted to ask if I'm going over for coffee this morning. P has been having anxiety attacks since he was ill recently (and waiting for open heart surgery isn't helping with that) and I'm able to reassure him (I could write the book on anxiety: and how to live with it 🤣) Last week I explained why he was feeling what he was feeling during an attack: fight or flight/ hyperventilating/ blood gases/ the chemistry of the thing. Trying to take some of the fear from the fear. Plus I'm totally irreverent and make him laugh. For example out of the blue I'll offer to beat him up if he thinks that would help. P gets me. He laughs. But you should see S's face 🤣🤣 For the record: the only person I've ever physically attacked was my extremely annoying brother when we were kids (and then only when he'd pushed and pushed until I blew).
So the plan for this morning is
Get dressed
Laundry shuffle
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
WUDUPA
Visit P & S
Pick up prescription
And this afternoon
Change battery in clock

Feeling a bit flat this morning. DS and DB keep sending me photos of their trips away and I have got a week off at the end of the month but we can't really afford to do much. Also because of DHs health he can't physically do much anyway. This is all taking a bit of adjusting to.Round you are so right, acknowledging the anxiety and what it does to you physically is so important. I am sure it will have helped P and it's lovely to be able to laugh about it.
I am going to get myself out of bed and make a plan for the day.7 -
i’m not going to beat myself up about the Yorkshires…lol. Piggers…I agree!
apart from cupboard doors and dinner prep it’s going to be a quiet day.

Morning all,
It’s a slow morning here. I’m being slow, not the morning, which is racing past. Why do Sundays seem to race? Conundrum of the day.
So far I have sorted the fridge (again). As a result, I have boiled some eggs, cooked some beetroot, made some coleslaw, segmented some grapefruits, chopped veg for curried swede soup, which is now simmering. Mr M delivery booked for next week. Now I ought to rouse myself and be productive, but I have a serious case of cba. Sorry, Kaz, not very helpful when I could be channeling my energies into ark making.
Yesterday afternoon, I sorted out some more of my mum’s art and craft stuff. I don’t think that I appreciated at the time just how arty she was. I don’t think that she did either. I did get rid of a lot of it to the recycling, but I still have a pile to rehome in my woman-cave (aka spare room / sewing room).6 -

I'm sorry I haven't been contributing again. I've been feeling very sluggish for several weeks which culminated in a couple of collapses earlier this week fortunately at home. I think I know what's causing it and I'm seeing two different health care professionals tomorrow at last which should be the turnaround I need. It sort of crept up on me and just got worse and worse. If I'm wrong about the causes at least I'll know what it isn't and we can work from there.Anyhoo, today I felt much, much better and have changed our bed, WMx3, dangled everything out as we have three days of dry weather now so I'm grabbing the opportunity while I can, put the recyling out, made the pastry cases for a couple of cheese and onion flans which will be baked this evening while Belovéd is making dinner and the oven's on (we try to avoid using it as much as possible), stripped and remade our bed, stripped the double as our guest left this morning, made a huge batch of tomato, veggie and butterbean soup (enough for at least 10 lunches for me), vacummed the bits that needed it that i didn't get to during yesterday's vacuumming session, and am now pretty much finished for the day. I think I've earned it but also, it's been amazing to have enough energy to do some things that needed doing after weeks of dragging myself through life.I haven't caught up, but I'm hoping to back in next week.Better is good enough.7

Have been doing some flying in the garden over the past couple of days. We had hard landscaping done last year and new veg boxes constructed. Yesterday we planted out the strawberries into their new raised bed from the troughs they've been in for too long. Difficult to separate them and the soil in the pots was really heavy as they were soaked. Had a good soak in the bath after that, still enjoying having a bath having only had a shower when we first moved into our house. Today we planted up some smaller strawberries into the troughs. These will be the replacements for the ones in the raised beds, either next year or the year after as the older ones get too tired. Also got some ivy off our neighbour's fence ready to stain our side if and when the panels ever dry out. Dug out a penstemen which I love, but is scruffy and got grass coming up through it. Will try and source a replacement of the same variety (Heavenly Blue). We were lucky as the rain had passed through overnight - very heavy, and lots of flooding on local roads when we took some stuff up the recycling centre.Make £2025 in 2025

HB hope you get some help health-wise tomorrow, sounds unpleasant.
Well I have worked out how much difference it made with my not using central heating while Mr N was away: this month's combined gas and electricity bill was £70 less than last month's. Granted, he was only away just short of 3 weeks not 4/5, plus it was a particularly cold month last month anyway. However I'm pleased; this month's gas reading was 34 units (102 in Dec; 115 in Jan) not that I'm planning on banning him.
Not a great deal of flying today: church, visited friend in care home, bit of admin, started some more gloves (waterways chaplain received the 2 pairs I gave her today enthusiastically and said the ones she gave out a fortnight ago were much appreciated).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6
