I’ll see what happens
My theory is that the "tracker" is a service on its own, with its own bugs and quirks, separate from whatever determines whether fees are paid and rewards given.

For avoidance of confusion: There's no £3 fee in the Halifax Reward - that's the Lloyds Club - just no reward the following month if you fail to qualify with the Halifax.

I also forgot about the fee. Unlike Lloyds it's not taken and then refunded if you've paid in the £1,500

I'm not sure whether I've forgotten... Or was never aware. Apologies: There's an age you get to... and I must have got there!2

As an aside -
Halifax Rewards - just a reminder that you only have a few days left to renew the rewards, if it's by May 31.
Can you just open a new one?
Well, yes... but if you're lucky enough to have a legacy of more than today's maximum number of accounts... if you miss the renewal deadline, AFAIK there's no way to get the extra ones back.

Rewards are renewed annually based on when you opened your account.0
