It’s a bit hit & miss this month.
On 2/5 I paid in £1790 from external account & £500 by debit card to Barclaycard. Similar transactions every month. Debit card shows 3/5 & qualifies but deposit doesn’t🤔
    I’ll see what happens

@badger09 It may not be too late to bounce £1500 in and out and save lengthy wait on the phone (for £5) if the reward doesn't pay in June...
I did consider that but admit to being a bit curious, & stubborn😉. I would have to withdraw from savings to meet funding requirement again. I’ve already met them once, so if Halifax don’t pay reward on time, I’ll ask for explanation. Perhaps if enough people are affected they’ll sort out whatever glitch caused it.
You'll find out if it all starts going wrong when the £3 monthly fee gets charged for not paying in the £1,500 early next week. If that fee takes you overdrawn (and as you dont see it charged until the day after it's too late to correct it) then it'll also affect the reward for the following month. Of course, Halifax will have to compensate you to sort it all out.
    If it happens.

My theory is that the "tracker" is a service on its own, with its own bugs and quirks, separate from whatever determines whether fees are paid and rewards given.
If that was the case then it seems strange that people had problems being paid rewards the last time there was a tracker problem.
The last time? There's been so many times, rarely a month goes past without some peculiarity reported. It's not the first time I've ended the month with the tracker incorrectly stating I'm not on track, but it would be the first time I've not been paid the rewards if it happened.

For avoidance of confusion: There's no £3 fee in the Halifax Reward - that's the Lloyds Club - just no reward the following month if you fail to qualify with the Halifax.

    ..........
  • I also forgot about the fee. Unlike Lloyds it's not taken and then refunded if you've paid in the £1,500

I'm not sure whether I've forgotten... Or was never aware. Apologies: There's an age you get to... and I must have got there!

    As an aside -
Halifax Rewards - just a reminder that you only have a few days left to renew the rewards, if it's by May 31.

Can you just open a new one?

Well, yes... but if you're lucky enough to have a legacy of more than today's maximum number of accounts... if you miss the renewal deadline, AFAIK there's no way to get the extra ones back.

Rewards are renewed annually based on when you opened your account.

The accounts will stay Reward accounts, they just wouldn't have Reward Extras attached.

... and Reward Extras can be added at any time after expiry if unable to renew ahead of time.

but only up to 3 Reward accounts - so if you have more than that you better renew.. or you'll lose the rewards.
