Halifax Reward current account

I'm not sure that's true. It's definitely not how it works when you have 3 accounts, even when the stated limit was 1.soulsaver said:
but only up to 3 Reward accounts - so if you have more than that you better renew.. or you'll lose the rewards.masonic said:
... and Reward Extras can be added at any time after expiry if unable to renew ahead of time...Ed-1 said:
The accounts will stay Reward accounts, they just wouldn't have Reward Extras attached.soulsaver said:As an aside -
Halifax Rewards - just a reminder that you only have a few days left to renew the rewards, if it's by May 31.
Can you just open a new one?
Well, yes... but if you're lucky enough to have a legacy of more than today's maximum number of accounts... if you miss the renewal deadline, AFAIK there's no way to get the extra ones back.
The only time accounts are automatically downgraded is if you don't keep up with the £1500 pay in requirement. There was also a time in 2020 when you had to call up to stop your account from being automatically downgraded to a Current Account, but that was because they made significant changes to the account in bringing in an (avoidable) monthly fee.0 -
Have just received my 3 cinema tickets for all 3 of my Rewards Accounts.
Only 2 of them tracked successfully in the app - and that was only because I repeated the direct debit payments and the £1.5k payment in. I didn't bother with the 3rd as a 'Placebo'.
Obviously we didn't need to get flustered - as was pointed out several times!

So who's got & not got the rewards this month.
I redid mine so I got the message saying I'd qualified, but they normally come in mid day & not yet there.

Just checked. £5 reward not yet received (1425 hours). Normally in account on 12th. I did payments twice in May and got the "successful" on the tracker after the second go.ZeroSum said:So who's got & not got the rewards this month.

Me and the wife haven't received ours for this month yet1

I normally see the notifications when it arrives in the evening. I'm not concerned, they'll show up later today or tomorrow I'm quite sure.

If that was the case then it seems strange that people had problems being paid rewards the last time there was a tracker problem.WillPS said:
If it happens.Ed-1 said:
You'll find out if it all starts going wrong when the £3 monthly fee gets charged for not paying in the £1,500 early next week. If that fee takes you overdrawn (and as you dont see it charged until the day after it's too late to correct it) then it'll also affect the reward for the following month. Of course, Halifax will have to compensate you to sort it all out.badger09 said:
I did consider that but admit to being a bit curious, & stubborn😉. I would have to withdraw from savings to meet funding requirement again. I’ve already met them once, so if Halifax don’t pay reward on time, I’ll ask for explanation. Perhaps if enough people are affected they’ll sort out whatever glitch caused it.soulsaver said:
@badger09 It may not be too late to bounce £1500 in and out and save lengthy wait on the phone (for £5) if the reward doesn't pay in June...badger09 said:It’s a bit hit & miss this month. On 2/5 I paid in £1790 from external account & £500 by debit card to Barclaycard. Similar transactions every month. Debit card shows 3/5 & qualifies but deposit doesn’t🤔
I’ll see what happens
My theory is that the "tracker" is a service on its own, with its own bugs and quirks, separate from whatever determines whether fees are paid and rewards given.
... so, to confirm, the tracker is not the last word on whether a payment will or wont be paid the last month, and can be safely ignored
