    As an aside -
Halifax Rewards - just a reminder that you only have a few days left to renew the rewards, if it's by May 31.

Can you just open a new one?

Well, yes... but if you're lucky enough to have a legacy of more than today's maximum number of accounts... if you miss the renewal deadline, AFAIK there's no way to get the extra ones back.

The accounts will stay Reward accounts, they just wouldn't have Reward Extras attached.
... and Reward Extras can be added at any time after expiry if unable to renew ahead of time...
but only up to 3 Reward accounts - so if you have more than that you better renew.. or you'll lose the rewards.

I'm not sure that's true. It's definitely not how it works when you have 3 accounts, even when the stated limit was 1.

The only time accounts are automatically downgraded is if you don't keep up with the £1500 pay in requirement. There was also a time in 2020 when you had to call up to stop your account from being automatically downgraded to a Current Account, but that was because they made significant changes to the account in bringing in an (avoidable) monthly fee.

Have just received my 3 cinema tickets for all 3 of my Rewards Accounts.

Only 2 of them tracked successfully in the app - and that was only because I repeated the direct debit payments and the £1.5k payment in. I didn't bother with the 3rd as a 'Placebo'.

Obviously we didn't need to get flustered - as was pointed out several times!

So who's got & not got the rewards this month.

I redid mine so I got the message saying I'd qualified, but they normally come in mid day & not yet there.

Just checked. £5 reward not yet received (1425 hours). Normally in account on 12th. I did payments twice in May and got the "successful" on the tracker after the second go.

I normally see the notifications when it arrives in the evening. I'm not concerned, they'll show up later today or tomorrow I'm quite sure.
