  • Have any of you who are Fuse customers on a smart meter supplied by them showing hourly readouts, tried turning all appliances off for a 2 hour period and see if the reading was zero kWh for that period?

If you have a smart meter use Hugo or bright as an option.

When my solar panels are generating enough, the Fuse app shows zero consumption (zero import)

I have just joined them on August 1st.  It's all done through their app.  I have given them the opening reading and the same reading was given to Octopus from whom I am still awaiting the final account and any credit left over.  I had an email from them on the 2nd August, stating that my 1st Bill would be issued on the 4th August.  This made.no sense to me so I used their chat line.  It was indeed an error and they have apologised.  When you submit your meter reading it has to be done with an accompanying photo which I didn't know about but can manage (just) to do.  Early days so we shall see but their price structure is what tempted me.

Holy Thread resurrection? (02/06/2026) Current users first hand feedback?

bit more "up to date" www switch-pilotDOTcom /switchinsights/fuse-energy-reviewDOThtml

reading it and "in two minds" over them.

I've always been shopping around, have been with all sorts, like ToTo, PurePlanet, Scottish, OutFox, now with Octopus, the tariff, that's very close to the end, kinda am considering changing over to them (Fuse), but "Exit fee's" really is triggering me…

worth "the risk" or should I just try some other like "home Energy" / "Pure Energy" / "ElectroCity" or something else?

(Rather Low energy consumer GU9 7H (Farnham))

    Thanks!

I'm surprised you found an Octopus deal that was competitive, I never have. Hardly bother checking them now.

For what both are currently offering me Fuse (my supplier) are 3p/KWh cheaper, that's a saving of about £250/annum. They are vertically integrated, producing some (all?) of their own electricity. What's not to like?

Only problem we had was a duff meter that didn't send readings, they tried various fixes until they replaced the meter a couple of months ago. Apparently the engineers were not allowed to change them before that.

Octopus was almost identical tariff, when I was leaving OutFox, that I was with for about 6 years (shocker for me), but they've introduced exit-fee's, so THAT was the actual reason for leaving, lol

"vertically integrated"? could you expand on that a bit?

No Smart meter, I'm against those… because of "reasons"…
