But I also like charity shops and a glass of Guinness and lemonade and a bag of chips

One of life's little pleasures is fish and chips by the sea!

Please think of us as we navigate through the next week or so with no kitchen!

It's being ripped out tomorrow ready for our lovely new Howdens Witney Pebble one being installed. New appliances, new flooring - the whole caboodle!

It's exciting but mildly stressful. This will be the last major big money thing we do before I retire in July.

We quickly realised last year when we downsized that the kitchen needed replacing so decided to use some equity from the house sale to fund it.

Microwave, toaster and air fryer meals!

Hope it goes well! (I still have nightmares about our refit!)

Hope it all goes well @louby40.  Our kitchen and utility could really do with a refit but I can't face the thought of the disruption.

Ours took 2 weeks. The dust was everywhere. And then there's the shortcuts that were taken that you don't find out about for a couple of years!

That said, ours cost less than £6,000 including fitting and that included induction hob, oven, combi microwave, extractor, integrated dishwasher, integrated fridge freezer, flooring, new under unit radiator, sink and tap, downlights, breakfast bar stools, all new units, worktops and splashbacks.

However, it was 4 years ago so obviously it would a bit more now.
