  • Hi @cathybird after @KajiKita idea for a spending pot - I want to declare that I have £22.65 free money to last until Friday, this can be used for treats etc, If I go over this then I will count that as a spending day is that okay? That way for minor expenses that are unplanned but keep me ticking over can be used in this pot, anything above and beyond this level is unplanned, and if I have money left from the previous week I could choose to add to spend or add to savings depending on what plans I have for the coming week.

Also I am allowing myself £120 for groceries, spending and petrol and health and beauty and Birthday presents etc. I feel this pot needs to be large as it is because if I set it too small I will always go over - but set like this I can save a bit and try my best to keep within, it will still be a challenge - as realistically I don't save much generally - last year I saved a measly £500!

Therefore I would like to add two NS days to my pot one for today and one historically, as I know I have kept to this plan at least one day previously if not more.

  • No spend day number 14 for me. Don’t have any money to spend out of my weekly allowance as moved it to put towards paying off the new tumble dryer so can’t spend anything 😂
New weekly allowance starts tomorrow and know I will need to spend on Tuesday to get to work (I don’t claim to travel to my local office) but Wednesday and Thursday I’m travelling further afield so all paid for by work. Friday will also be a spend day as it’s mine and hubbys date night and it’s my turn to pay. Apart from that as long as I take my lunches and snacks to work I don’t have any plans to spend anything else. Happy Sunday everyone and good luck 🤞
